How easy is it to ride your powerless ebike?

As I was trying to compare models from Wisper against Kalkhoff's - Kalkhoff don't seem to want to quote the weight of their bikes. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Frank, what's the advantage of this type of motor? it's heavier than the 250W Bafang, more expensive, lower efficiency etc?

Then one of the natural questions can be: many companies explain part of the cost of the bike is to cover for support. Given that most of us have been tinkering with bikes for years, do we need that much support from the bike dealer? should we buy our bike on the internet and save some dosh?

that's the reason why I asked. I think there is more expertise to be found in this forum than 100 bikeshops. There isn't a mechanism to reward good contributors for the use of their brains.

the bike alone weighs 10.9Kgs, battery 36V 10AH 3.9kgs or 48V 9AH 4.9kg + motor SWXK5 3 kgs total 18kgs or thereabout.

Would the right compromise be a good push bike on its own with added front wheel drive and behind the seat post 48V 9AH battery? It should be possible to reach 30-35mph on flat road and 15mph on 2%-4% hill?

Your bike does not have CE (China Export) marking.

I thought I read somewhere on the Wisper bikes website that on starting up, their motor will also reach 400+ Watts. 10mph results are interesting but should not be taken as proof that manufacturers try to compete unfairly.
