    Parallel batteries (again!)

Simply connecting the second battery to the first via the charging point/connection is not paralleling the batteries, all one is going to do in the least is charge the first up via the second till the second then becomes spent or hits lvc if a BMS is fitted. If one inadvertently ends up with a...

BB is a bottom bracket, if planning on sing the existing Suntour one (less the wiring) then it will need to accept/accommodate the V12L which needs to be firmly held by pressing in to the BB face. Have a close look the V12L mating face to see.

Carrera Vengeance ebike battery charger clicking

Some users have had issues with KTV12L, 8 or 10 pole two piece PAS set up tend to be ore reliable. 6 mosfet 20a controller I was using is ok on town bike etc, on flat terrain. When I had it on my touring bike on 160km rides it would over heat on steep inclines at slow speeds in PAS 5 and...

    E bike speedo

With some one might be able to enable a reset to zero but one can't really fudge them and on a bike no point, other wise a new display would read zero.

    TSDZ2 & VLCD5 settings saving?

The display should keep the settings.

    LSW1466 Controller

The only thing to watch out for is lvc, the display/controller won't recognise you are using 14s and will base lvc on 48v so be aware of what your 52v lvc is and ignore the display reading if it is only battery bars. If the display uses a live voltage readout then go by the voltage for lvc of...

    LSW1466 Controller

All the 48v I have seen have 63v caps so one should be ok with a 52v max charge of 58.8v, all the other components will also be matched for 48v with a decent bit of headroom.

    LSW1466 Controller

Check the caps out inside, they should be 63v rated.

    Bearing advice !

Yes, it is the where the wheel axle sits in. Something doesn't look quite right between the cassette end and the axle nut.

    Bearing advice !

There is an alignment issue vertically but to me it looks like the drop out and not the hanger, the top of the drop out is much closer to the chain then at the bottom. The hanger is only following the line of the drop out alignment vertically.

    Reliability of e-bike systems

If one goes on German pedelec forum or ES there is a large band of OSF programmers who are providing free downloads and files for software and programming of controllers and displays to enhance generic electronic components. These guys are even showing step by step guide to making bespoke mini...

    Help! Carrera crossfuse issue?

You cant go wrong with a cassette swap as it is exactly a swap. Remove chain/ wheel and undo a lock retaining ring, slide off the cassette & slide on the new cassette. Tighten lock ring refit wheel and chain, all done.

Last Bike I rode was 30 years ago.

If one wants cheap riding then hub is the way to go, reliability better then mid drive. Less wear and tear on the chain drive perfect for light trail and road, that said I use hub drive bike on all off road rides where one often doesn't see another bike or sole. If the riding is fast, very...

    Bearing advice !

Derailleur looks ok to me it is returning ok, and suspect a chain issue or a worn sprocket teeth. The chain is snagging either on the derailleur wheels or the small sprocket. Check the chain for a stiff or bent link (manually check every link for good movement) as it appears to be mainly the...
