    Greeting from Wally

I've ridden, owned and fixed just about every type of ebike. Don't denigrate the cheap ones. Contrary to popular belief, some of the cheapest ones can be the most reliable. Bikes in the middle ground from established brands have had many years of learning and development to get where they are...

    Silly mistake.

All you need to do is measure the voltage in three positions from the cell-pack ground (B-). First, the red wire from the cell-pack to get the pack voltage. That will be attached to the positive output terminal. Second, where the negative comes out of the BMS (P-) to the negative terminal to see...

Just seen this bike via gogoling by chance ..

I'd avoid it like the plague. There was a massive marketing campaign for them. they were featured in every magazine and newspaper, then followed a whole load of fake reviews. It has all sorts of bespoke things on it, so when it goes wrong in a couple of years time, you'll have a nice trellis for...

    CatEye Wireless not working

Have you recently fitted it to an electric bike? They don't like to be in the vicinity of motors.

Tandem rear hub conversion with drum brake

No you can't. If it's a screw-on type, there are some motors that have the extra thread on the left size for screw-on brakes.

    mixing different kits

I think you're the one that's butt-hurt because you don't know how to ask a simple question. Go and get your controller. I hope you have fun with it and don't need further help with it.

    mixing different kits

That's not it at all. It makes no difference if someone is new or old. If I wanted help with something, I'd say something like this: I have this bike/kit/stuff or whatever. I want to improve it in this area. I have the idea to achieve that by buying this. Is that the best way or can somebody...

No power to ebike after replacement of dead batteries.

Resolder the joints on the key switch, otherwise bridge them as a temporary measure that will allow you to test or use the bike,

    mixing different kits

The question doesn't make sense. The power of the battery has no influence on the type of controller. You only have to match the voltage. Why would you want to use a 1000w controller on a 250w motor? Without the LCD, that controller is terrible anyway. The problem wit you guys is that you never...

No power to ebike after replacement of dead batteries.

!t would be better to check it before putting it back together in case you need to trace a fault.

Simon Cowell recovering from near six-hour surgery after scary e-bike crash

Not really enough height. I reckon more likely he went over the bars, which throws you up high first. Maybe he bought a new bike and it had European brakes, so when he applied the back brake he went straight over, like I did once, or something stuck in his front wheel.
