Help! Derestricting Oxygen S-Cross MTB Mk2?

I wouldn't take too much notice of that yet. It doesn't make sense. They updated the model last autumn, which could be derestricted. I haven't seen anything new yet, and I can't see why they would change anything during a product run.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/whitehouse.gov/files/docs/pacei-voterfraudcases.pdf It's very difficult to get the real story because most new channels, most press and most social media are anti-Trump. Basically, nobody calls for anything unless they think they can get an advantage from it...

    AKM-100SX 36V250W Front 201rpm vs 328rpm

328 rpm is too fast for a 26" or bigger wheel. It can work in something like a road bike, where you're at constant high speed, but is unsuitable for normal bike speeds. Also, it will tend to over-heat your controller when in a big wheel. 328 rpm is for 20" wheels and smaller.

    Controller Light Output - Uses?

It's a simple calculation. To drop from 36v to 6v is a factor of 6, so if you have a 5w bulb, the resistor needs to dissipate 30w. If you have a single 1w LED, which is a bit weak, the resisor needs to disipate 6w. I'm surprised that you couldn't work that out. Not only are your assumptions...

Resistors on voilamart front wheel hub

Most motors only have the hall sensors without any other components. Maybe some halls switch better than others and bad ones need other components to clean them up, or maybe some motors don't have such clean magnetic fields as others, so need some sort of cleaning. I don't realy know why they...

I'm in the process of making enquiries. I'll let you know when I have something. I'm not convinced that what's being said is correct.

    Controller Light Output - Uses?

A resistor is completely the wrong way to go, not only will you waste 2 timess or 4 times as much power as the lights are using depebding on whether you use 12v or 6v lights, but your lithium battery voltage changes from full to empty, so your 12v lights will only get 8v when your battery is...

Resistors on voilamart front wheel hub

Sorry, that was a typo. The sensors should be type SS41. Normally, with them, you don't need resistors and capacitors, just direct connections.

There's always a way round it. It just depends how much work you're prepared to do.

    Air forks

Yes. Air forks make a big difference to comfort and to how good they are at absorbing bumps, even on a comuter bike. I always fit them on my long-term bikes.

The Reality of Owning and Maintaining a Pedelec

For me, it's pump up the tyres once a year and drizzle some gear oil on the chain every 6 months. I replaced the battery after 5 years. It still had plenty of life in it, but I bought the replacement in anticipation two years previously, and I was worried that it would deteriorate before ever...

Resistors on voilamart front wheel hub

Hall sensors with a 49 in the designation are the wrong type. They're the ones used in throttles to give a variable output. The ones in the motor are bipolar, i.e. on or off. They normally have 42 in the designation, though there are other types. Some controllers require pull-up resistors on the...

    20inch rear hub conversion

You can use either a 48v 260 rpm motor or a 36v 201 rpm at 48v. Essentially, they're the same motor, even though the markings might be different.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

What this is about is preparing the way to cheat in the November elections. The dems are trying to get postal votes only under the excuse of covid 19. They control many of the services that bring the votes from the voters to the counting stations. It's already well-documented that the postal...

    Rear Hub Motor Connector Identification

I think that's the connector that decathlon use on their bikes. You can get one of these cables, cut off the connector on one end and solder the wires directly to any controller. All motors have the same wires inside the cable. it's just the connectors that are different...
