    My cursed TSDZ2...

You can't ride your bike with loose cranks. Take them off and grind/file about 3mm off the inside face so that you can tighten them without them rubbing on anything.

    Reviving a 36V Li-ionDead Battery

Here's what I'd do. Charge it up, then pull the multi-pin connector on the BMS. That will switch off the BMS, so you'll have to measure the voltage of the pack directly on the cells. If it goes down like that, you've got self-discharging cells, though that's not very likely. If it stays up, you...

    Bafang or MXUS hub motor?

MXUS. I've never really taken to Bafangs, probably because I've had to fix so many, but the reason I've had to fix more Bafangs than anything else is because there are more of them than anything else. Personally, I prefer motors with a high reduction ratio, like all the Aikema motors because...

    Hello!

Even the weakest ebike systems give loads of power, at least equivalent to someone pedalling for you. An average unfit cyclist can maintain around 100w. A regular cyclist around 150w and a sports cyclist around 200w. An average ebike gives over 400w at the back wheel. At 64kg, she'll be going...

bike without single point of failure

On a lot of those old motorbikes, there's a hollow piece that retains the brake, chain and sprocket on the swinging arm. There's a spacer on the other side. You pull out the axle, remove the spacer, shift the wheel to the left to disengage a spline for the sprocket, then the wheel drops down and...

    Hello!

Nice theory. How do you account for the fact that she beat the guy on the Haibike, when she was on a relatively low-powered Batribike then? She was not that heavy, and you could see that she was making tremendous torque with her low cadence. I can imagine that she was of similar build to OP's...

    E22 on Carrera Crossfire Ebike

Now that you have the old sensor off, you can clean it and keep it as a spare. The new one will eventually get dirty. You only have to clean out the very thin slots.

    Bafang or MXUS hub motor?

MXUS are very good motors. They last forever if you treat them nicely.

We'll know how good it is when they start using it in the Tour de France or MTB world championships.

    Hello!

That's rubbish. Did you not see the lady from Battribike(?) In the world Championships at Bristol. She was tall and thin with a very low cadence, but she got her Battribike up that hill quicker than the athlete on the Haibike.

    Help! Pro-Rider Hub motor issue

You can tell whether its spinning backwards by lifting the wheel off the ground to see which direction it turns. Confirm that first before going any further. There's a key on the centre gear that I've heard of failing on a couple of motors, so check that if your motor goes forward. I've never...

    Hello!

That's nowhere near. It would be right for an unfit 100kg rider. When I first started I was one of those and my rides are very hilly. I could always manage 30 miles fom my 8.8 Ah battery. A 64kg rider is more likely to be around 7Wh per mile, or 51 miles from a 10Ah battery There's nothing that...

    Wisper 905se problem

Most controllers cannot turn the motor in any way if they don't get the correct hall signals. There are exceptions, and they're sensorless or dual-mode controllers, but I can't say that I've seen one on an OEM bike before. If your motor didn't work, I was going to suggest getting a sensorless...
