    Bottom Bracket Removal

Plasic ones are normally standard Shimano-type BBs with 20 teeth. You know that one side has a left hand thread. From memory, you undo both sides in the direction of forward pedalling. Sometimes the fit is very tight. You might have to tap the tool in.

    Wisper 905se problem

You only have three hall sensors. White is the speed sensor. It might only switch once per rotation, so is difficult to test. It might be worth checking again. Something isn't right because you said the throttle works the motor, but with two blown hall sensors, it shouldn't be able to.

    Alternative to Ezee hub motor

I'd chuck the Ezee control system. It's had it's day. A modern KT controller with LCD3 will be loads better and won't cost much if you order it with the motor.

    E22 on Carrera Crossfire Ebike

The connector is inside the compartment at the base of the battery. You have to unscrew something. I can't remember what, but it didn't take me more than a couple of seconds to figure it out. The sensor itself is held on with three screws. Everything you need to know is here from my thread when...

    Brushless controller

I fixed one of those bikes with the old KU65 controller from BMSBattery. Those controllers work anything. Don't forget to select the LED panel. https://bmsbattery.com/home/1010-18243-s-ku65-controller-for-led810-250w15a-6mosfets-controller.html#/431-led-36v

    Hello.

This is the first 2WD I built 8 years ago with twin Q100H motors. I made a double hall throttle to work two separate controllers. That was before I figured out how to split the signal. I always configure them with the PAS to work the rear motor and the throttle to work both. I've built four 2WDs...

    Hello!

Differnt motors have different winding speeds and different internal reduction ratios, which affect how they behave. Only the Xiongda has switchable high and low internal ratios, but there are no OEM bikes in this country that use it, though you can buy it as a kit from China. At 64kg, she...

bike without single point of failure

Only for people that don't have a clue about these things. Why would you want to take the wheel off to fix a puncture? I've never had to do that in 10 years and about 20,000 miles.

    Alternative to Ezee hub motor

Bafang BPM is nearest equivalent. It has a freewheel threaded boss for gears. If you have 8 speed or more, get the Bafang CST. SWX02C and Q128C are also good. You can get them all from BMSBattery. I'm pretty sure that you can get all versions of Ezee motors and others from Grin, though they...

    Wanted DC Motor Controller

You can use any 36v brushless controller for hall sensor motors if you're capable of a bit of wiring and soldering.

    KTM Elycan

They do have really good power. It could be the torque sensor, but you'd need some sort of specification to test it against. There's hardly been any info or tests on this system on this forum. You might find something or you could ask on the German forum. There's much more over there on these...

    Hello!

    She's only 64kg. It'll last forever.

    Hello!

At only 10 stone (64 kg) a hub-motor will have more than enough torque. I use the rule that you should use hub-motors for roads and light trails, and crank motors for proper off-road stuff. She might like this one, which is only 17kg and good for 40 to 50 miles. It has the Aikema motor that's...

Is a 24v. bike up to tackling hills?

With 26" wheels or bigger, 24v just doesn't cut it for hills, but you should be OK with small wheels because you get proportionally more torque. The 10Ah battery limits you to about 15 miles, but you can buy batteries on Ebay and Aliexpress with more capacity...

Hall sensor configuration possibly causing C3 error?

C3 error is hall sensor fault, nothing to do with PAS. If you get C£ everything is working except the controller is getting incorrect hall signals. If you already checked that the halls are switching correctly, there must be a fault on the cable somewhere. Test the hall signals where the wires...

    World's first manufactured non-cuttable material.

Great until you lose your key or they damage the lock mechanism in an attempt to breach it. You get to keep your bike, but you can't ride it.

Wanted Peddle assist sensor for Hollowtech

Use a normal cheapo one on the left side. You reverse the bracket so that the sensor reaches forward instead of back, drill or dremmel out the magnet disc to 25mm hole and chuck the plastic spacers that are between the BB bearing holders and the frame. You might have to thin down the magnet disc...

    Help with kt controller

That's very low. You should get more than double that with a 20 amp controller. Have a play with the C5 setting. Try 9 and see if it'll accept a value over 10. If all else fails, you can always solder the shunt.

    Dahon speed P8 2007

I fitted a Q85 to a Brompton. You don't need any special retaining adaptor. I think I had to file the drop-outs a bit, but you'll have to do that with any motor.
