Easily available, our Council has these for facilities which a number of people need to access. This company offers just about any type of "alike" keyed padlocks. .

How to correctly dispose with a Li-ion Battery, 3 alternatives.

Thanks Andy. Sadly we are well behind in battery recycling, but so long as large lithium batteries like our e-bike ones are disposed of at local authority recycling centres, they will be dealt with responsibly. There are some dismantling facilities here, but no lithium recyling facility in...

Boris would have tried to protect him, seeing as he does that people who misbehave are kindred spirits. We knew that from those he appointed when he was London's Mayor. .

Would it be hard to ride my e-bike while wearing filtered earplugs? Is it legal?

Not so, that is the usual nonsense innuendo that ROSPA routinely puts out. Just look at this extract and my comments below: "In the UK, it is not specifically illegal to drive while wearing headphones, but if the police believe a driver was distracted or not in full control of their...

Ebike still legal if I run 36V motor at 48V and limit speed to 15mph?

Nor even that. This police officer is almost certainly speaking of illegal two wheelers such as mini-motos and the like that the police take off the road, nothing whatsoever to do with pedelecs. I'm confident there has never been a single British prosecution of someone for altering a legal...

Would it be hard to ride my e-bike while wearing filtered earplugs? Is it legal?

Definitely not illegal in any way, indeed it can be recommended on two wheels. Because wind noise at speed is very damaging to hearing even within a crash helmet, motorcyclists routinely wear ear plugs and have done for many years. And police motorcyclists wear their wireless earplugs. .

    Petrol driven bike!

Indeed, 70 years ago they were commonplace with over a million registered in the UK. But with the passing decades and changes in the regulations it gets ever more difficult. I believe emission regulations will eventually kill them off. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Never true anyway, in every one of the very many times we've been invaded we've lost and conceded victory, either locally or nationally. Britons were routinely taken as slaves, individually by the Vikings, nationally by the Romans and effectively as slaves by the Normans. And in this country...

    Are converted bikes legal?

Some of this already exists in the EU law we apply. The EU and UK technical standards are set out in EN15194. That does not set a maximum power of 250 watts, it merely requires that a compliant motor can supply 250 watts continuously without technical failure. As you can see, that is widely...

That's because that case law and the Judge's error are historic from when the law was very different. To be a legal pedelec within case law today it has to comply with the exemption from being a motor vehicle in the Two and Three Wheeled Motor Vehicles Regulation 168/2013, now also wholly UK...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Judging by the British contempt of the law shown in all the posts about increasing power and assist speed, compared with the Continental obedience, surely the words of Rule Britannia should be changed: From "Britannia rules the waves" to "Britannia waives the rules" .

    Are converted bikes legal?

Technically all kit created e-bikes are illegal because every motorised vehicle on the roads has to have a specific approval. The only specific approval for pedelecs is solely for manufactured e-bikes. However, it's nothing to worry about. Use this link and then scroll rightdown to the Kit...
