The "death" of the car, (as we know it)

Flecc, You need to think outside the box.. That Tesla will have no steering wheels or pedals in 2018, .. could easily be realised ... By their purchasing department making a monumental error. Virtually all energy used on planet earth is pure solar.. ok some of was picked up and stored...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I also have had familiarity with autorouting software, I spent a few years evaluating these for our students of electronics. My point to them was that these tools are for computer assisted engineering not automated engineering. If your familiarity is mid 90s, let me assure you there have...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

New methods of construction allow designers new freedom so new design concepts arise . Will not future generations not look back at the quaint cobblestones and quaint brick built houses...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Woosh .. I think that that is both understating the current status of sensor technology, the ability of software and exaggerated belief in the set of skills needed to do the tasks. A colleague of mine had robotic assisted surgery on his prostate some 5 years ago... The placement of those knives...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Without knowing the actual date when Churchill made that statement would it have been when England still had the rump of its empire? Circumstances can. I wasn't saying that middle Europe would not feel the results of brexit but that it actually a minor disturbance except for the three...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The UK has basically 3 choices. 1. Negotiate a deal they can believe is a good deal 2. Walk away with no deal 3. Seek to negate Brexit and have business as usual. Of those options, I have been consistent in hoping for 3. Except for Ireland, Denmark, the Nederlands, loss of British trade...

    RIPPED OFF DERAILLEUR CAGE

That person has chosen to compare a 30 speed derailleur with their afine hub. Now I don't see it feasible to have 30 speeds without a triple chainset , so that means two extra chainwheels. A more valid comparison would be a single chainwheels, and say a 7 set cassette., Or in the case of a SA a...

    Battery lock

People steal things either for fun \ vandalism or for profit. Your standard thief would not see a market for such a minority item.. it certainly doesn't look 400 quids worth. And to whom will he flog it? The local cex seems a non starter.

    RIPPED OFF DERAILLEUR CAGE

It's funny but years ago the only multigeared bikes available in Ireland were the strumley archer 3 speeds, and derailleur bikes were exotic. Probably the influence of Raileagh .. I found it surprising to see nearly all the ladies touring bikes in France in the early 1970s had derailleurs...

    RIPPED OFF DERAILLEUR CAGE

Sandals are so 1st century, Dining plates , table forks and knives are so 18th. century, ( whats wrong with a plank of timber and a dagger.?.) but we still use them. The Derailleur is the more efficient mechanism by say 8% than the internal hubs. Maybe not as robust in a crash, but cheaper...

I leave the battery in place, it is locked in as its a Bosch , but always remove the intuvia display controller and put it in my pocket. Its now second nature.. and a lot lighter than the battery.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

This was why I posed these questions, I could not recall what if anything has happened. As I see it: She made an election promise. The election being that of PM. She expressed a wish to provide monies to NI. , that does not exceed her authority. The DUP choose to believe that in good faith...

HMRC gives £700 million IT contract to Amazon.

I am glad that you are at last appreciating the seriousness of the potential situation. While the case is about an email, it is actually about Data. It is not about hijacking data or nicking it. It is about an instruction to be given to the operators of a server in a foreign country ( UK) by...
