I'd class that as some sort of misuse of public office. Should Shepherd go to gaol, he should not be in a position of being singled out due to that father's position.

Instead of standing, and I can't believe he really intends to be an active MEP for the next five years, shout from the rooftops how wrong his son is. Though 'tis good that he and his daughter agree on direction. Stanley Johnson, the father of Boris Johnson and a former Tory MEP, has announced...

Funnily enough, I don't remember anything about avoiding the far right in the EU being a reason for leaving in the 2016 referendum campaigns.

Good to read this - just very late and far too little prominence - and not followed by the order of the boot for the "journalist" who made such an egregious error, sorry, lie. The Daily Telegraph has been forced to correct a column by Boris Johnson after the Brexiter MP and potential Tory...

Even if those figures are correctly reported, conveniently ignores two whole countries. Like the false origin so favoured when graphs are used in advertising.

Land or sea? I ask not just to be ridiculously pedantic, but because it made me ask how many countries the EU would have borders with after a brexit? Things like the channel tunnel? And whether the borders of all UK countries count as one or separately for each constituent country? Yes, it is...

Interesting... And so very important that a flawed referendum is not allowed to stand without at least being properly reviewed and the impact of any issues properly assessed and evaluated. Swiss court orders historic referendum re-run The result of a nationwide referendum has been overturned...

If the tories tried to make one of them PM, wouldn't it be necessary for the queen to agree? And if she perceived (possibly through advisors) that the HoC was substantially against that, could she not select any other MP to form a government? (Obviously, only the ones who appear to have a decent...

I'd also say that threatening to disrupt the EU at every turn is grossly irresponsible. Even if you disagree with pretty much everything the EU stands for, causing problems within the EU is hardly a good way of getting on with our near-neighbours whether on an Eu or individual country basis.

And as someone very close to me found out - crippling illness can occur at any age. And render people unable to work. Advice from what should be reliable sources can end up denying ANY benefit of any sort (didn't apply for the right thing within a time limit) and being not classified in most...

So will any interesting candidates stand in the UK's EU elections - if they do go ahead on May 23rd? Or will they all be make-weights filling the gaps?
