    Broken throttle

72W is a little high if that's with the wheel off the ground. It probably means that the brakes are rubbing a bit or something else. It might free up once you start using it. Around 40W would be typical for a well-maintained bike and motor. In case you don't know, each PAS level on the display...

Ebike still legal if I run 36V motor at 48V and limit speed to 15mph?

The inspection looks at the 250w stamped on the motor. Changing the voltage doesn't change the power rating for the motor.

Ebike still legal if I run 36V motor at 48V and limit speed to 15mph?

There is no law limiting how much current or how many volts you use on an EAPC, neither is there any law on how much power your motor makes or consumes. No OEM electric bike has been limited to 7 amps x 36V. The lowest 36v I've ever seen was 12 amps. 15 amps used to be the modal max current...

    Chain lube

It's the same with all the special foods and drinks that they sell for cyclists to consume in order to get magic powers while they ride. The honest truth is that a cup of coffee and a bar of chocolate is probably more effective than all of them. Rather than engine oil, gearbox oil seems better...

Ebike still legal if I run 36V motor at 48V and limit speed to 15mph?

The LCDs are on the bike when they test the bike for compliance!

Ebike still legal if I run 36V motor at 48V and limit speed to 15mph?

One more time: LCDs that have settings for speed have been tested and certified that they comply with law. You can make whatever interpretation you want. If you're really worried, take your motor out of the bike, then they'll never get you.

It looks burnt around where the blue wire is soldered. Regarding the transistor you replaced, does it have a track going directly to the blue wire?

Ebike still legal if I run 36V motor at 48V and limit speed to 15mph?

Yes you can. I've seen it done. What's more, you can change the walk assist to unlimited speed. No dongle necessary!

    Half throttle 4 wire

I always tell people to buy a KT controller and LCD3 because they have power control. Other controllers mainly have speed control.

Hope that someone can suggest what I can do ....

Throttle work with a hall sensor and magnets to give a signal between roughly 1v and 4v. Brake switches are in the brake levers. Follow the wire coming out of the brake until you come to a connector. Check that the motor connector is all the way to the marked line.

Ebike still legal if I run 36V motor at 48V and limit speed to 15mph?

All speed limits can be bypassed on every single ebike by settings in the electronics.

Not the stuff I use - Castrol or Shell. I keep my bike in the house. Nobody has ever complained. Maybe your cat got at yours!

Hub drive not working Please help!!!

During the self-learning, the cpu issues its own instructions to control the motor, and if the motor turns, there's nothing wrong with it. Outside of the self-learning procedure, the cpu gives instructions to turn the motor after receiving a signal from the throttle or PAS, whilst considering...

Ebike still legal if I run 36V motor at 48V and limit speed to 15mph?

Yes. Why not? There is no legal regulation on voltage or current. Compliance with EN15194 is not a legal requirement, though certificated bikes would be per se legal. The standard allows up to 48v systems. The law as stated lays down these requirements specifically for an ebike. Obviously...

The blue wire goes back to the controller, then through a big resistor, then to the 12v regulator. One branch from the 12v goes to the mosfets and the other to the 5v regulator. The output of the 5v regulator is common to the throttle, motor halls, PAS and controller CPU. Check the voltage...

Hub drive not working Please help!!!

You should hold the axle in the vice, not the nut, otherwise it'll spin the axle and break the cable, which renders the motor scrap. Connect the self-learning cables and switch on. The self-learning is automatic, so don't touch anything. once the motor starts turning, switch off. Disconnect...
