    Brexit, for once some facts.

It certainly is, six months is the maximum lay magistrates can give. But if they'd passed it to a senior court he could have got much longer. .

Perhaps desperation in trying to detract attention from his hair! Or showing off how much better he is at being transport secretary than Chris (Failing) Grayling, he of the invisible ferries. .

Review Whats the diffrence btween both e-bikes ?

I also like hub gears and hub motors, but there's some very good reasons why the Dutch and ourselves differ in this respect. The Netherlands are almost entirely as flat a pancake, so the relatively narrower gear ranges of hub gears suit. And as others have said the Dutch are predominantly...

Now then, naughty. He's the Transport Secretary doing his job!! Track and trace is the Health Secretary's job, and that is Matt Hancock. .

In truth it's most likely just another example of the usual British government member's attitude of "Don't do as I do, do as I say". .

Help! Have I been sent the wrong size wheel?

Yes, there's several suitable alternatives that people have used. You have to take care not to overlap the tyre seating sides though, making the rim a bit big for the tyre. Dedicated rim tapes usually have the advantages of a precut valve hole and often a buckle of some sort making them length...

Help! Have I been sent the wrong size wheel?

That's probably because people buy very few rim tapes compared to all the tyres and tubes they buy. It's mainly on the rare occasion of converting from inner tubes to tubeless that they buy a rim tape, often for the first time ever, since their bikes have always had them already. If you have a...

Help! Have I been sent the wrong size wheel?

To be honest I don't know, but they are certainly not necessary with inner tubes and their stronger fibre material might be too coarse. Normal rim tapes come in wide (about 19mm) and narrow (about 15mm) widths, yours will almost certainly be wide, the narrow ones for roadies skinny wheels and...

Help! Have I been sent the wrong size wheel?

Your tyre will definitely fit ok, but you must fit a rim tape to protect and support the inner tube. You may be able to reuse your existing one, depending on its type and condition. Halfords are open if you want a new one. .

Now out of the EU we can remove the VAT altogether and give a cash grant towards purchase as we do with e-cars. .

taking apart rear hub for Hall sensor replacement

On the one I illustrated it's just remove the left hand wheel nut to withdraw the armature. The freewheel doesn't have to be removed but of course access to the Hall sensors will be awkward with it in the way. .

If it does return then. That 17% is from a very small sampling, it could be much higher and indeed in London's circumstances perhaps likely to be. And we can't know if there will be any natural regression due to other circumstances, many previous viral infections have disappeared by...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I doubt it was too serious though, since the affected period was quite short. The freeing up beds didn't start until well after the lockdown start and ended a little while ago with the appeal to return for treatment. Maybe four weeks max, and that's not a long time in cancer treatment...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There is no shorter safe distance since even two metres is far from safe in the worst circumstances. MIT measured particles from coughs at 6 metres so concluded 8 metres was the safe distance. And at any distance there's a world of difference between two people back to back and two facing...

Indeed. As I've posted, the government's preferred choice was spreading the impact over time by effective social distancing to assist the NHS in coping. To a considerable extent we couldn't do that well in London, so we took an early hit, getting the worst over with quickly. As it happened...

    Inner tubes

I never replace a working tube and just keep patching. I come from being in the trade just after WW2 when everyone was as poor as church mice and there wasn't much in the way of bike parts. We repaired many punctures every day and a tube would often be as much patches as innertube when...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

It didn't lock down because it isn't possible to lock down properly in London's environment. Which has turned out to be an advantage in getting the problem over quickly. You're still dealing with your problem in the large area of your spaced out Southampton-Portsmouth complex where social...

taking apart rear hub for Hall sensor replacement

You may find this page on my Torq site useful. The text below the photos of a typical motor's internals cover the components involved and the details on stripping the motor. Replacing the Hall sensors can be difficult though, as the first photo shows, the sensors and wiring are buried, glued...
