I offered and now looks like a might be a 3rd/4th choice or even a last gasp choice so I'm out.
Kirstin has been quiet for a very long while, so he might not even have been keeping an eye on things here.
The Spec 2bliss pro are excellent for grip on the loose stuff, I have them on my gravel bike. The smooth center makes them very good for paved surfaces with bite grip on the edges for the loose stuff. Mine are set up for 2Bliss as that is what they are best for but no reason you can't run tubes...
Are you able to get the bike up to Crawley and leave it for a few days ?
If so I can then take a look with my meter at my leisure, I'm not a business or usually offer to often but now and then try and help folks out if I can.
I like that text reply !!!
To me it should have read sorry we don't know how to test, but to cover all angles we will replace nearly everything in the hope we find what's wrong .
The good thing about branded generic type paired controllers/displays is that any brand of generic hub motor and battery can be used to make up a bike.
Not something anyone can do with the likes of Bosh, Yamaha, Shimano or even possibly the new Bafangs.
Displays are matched to controllers by way of commands & programming each brand software developer uses different commands etc.
They are semi - closed in that you can't freely use one brand with another, some of the info might work but a lot won't. They each use slightly different settings/...
What is the controller make/brand.
Maybe these people can help you, contact details are at the top of the page linked to.
Fitting a Porter to a PDQ Power trike - 4QD - Electric Motor Control
Off the mark definitely.
As mentioned on the side of the hub is the keyway for a 4 keyway spanner to locate a bit of force/torque and it would/should open, unfortunately the keyways have been butchered on your hub so one may not fit or get good purchase.
This is similar type of tool you need...
I haven't seen any motor controllers with the 6 pins (unsensored) Julet connector, Viking may be you best bet if you can contact them.
Mainstream ebikes tend to use the sensored 9 pins hubs whilst the cheaper small bike use you 6 pin.
Very new cells there, production date is 07 Dec 2020 so pretty much hot off the press nearly.
Mooch tested these and rated them as current #1 cell to buy, also the P28A is almost identical but will a slightly longer run time past 3.2v but that is no use for us ebikers.
Going by Mooch's testing...
At the end of the day both type of motor and PAS input system all work, both types have detractors and bias users. Trying out both will be the best way for anyone with an issue and under quack's orders/advice.
My only beef with TS mid drive is if a fault occurs I am unable to repair or fault...
My last order was a bare hub motor , kt controller , lcd4, bz10 PAS and a few other silly cheap bits, all arrived nicely packaged but did take a whole month. The tracking number never did work but it did arrive DHL.
