    48V TSDZ2 (250W) are now in stock

My favourite "what if" motor for the trike at the moment is this one - https://www.gngebike.com/ultralight-300w-kit 1.5 kg Wireless PAS level control I get to keep my 3 chainwheels 24 v so a smaller, cheaper, lighter battery if you wish (I'm thinking 7P7S 20700 cells so 840Wh) It is...

The problem with E-bikes in the UK.

A long time ago I sat down in front of a spreadsheet and ran the numbers. Result? - we sold the family sized car that spent most of the week parked in front of the house - we bought a Smart for town use - we had a budget rental place nearby where we rented larger cars for family trips about...

    Front light for country roads

I ride a trike on unlit Basque Country roads, trikes get quite fast on 10% downhills... Currently I use a b+m IXON IQ Premium AA cell powered 70 lux light and I haven't been scared yet. I will replace it with the 150 lux battery powered headlight when it fits in my budget. The other solution I...

I don't have the choice, it is main road or stay at home in front of the telly... Dual carriage roads are verboten in France however.

    eBike-specific, main battery-powered front light

Which one is it? Mine was very good when it was working, nice strong beam, oncoming cars noticed it around corners and dipped their lights. It is even better at 48v - yes I know, only rated for 42v but tinkerers will be tinkerers... :rolleyes...

flecc answered correctly. I think I may have posted a while back that a helmet did prevent a nasty blow there: thanks to cutbacks there are lots of low hanging branches on the side of Spanish roads. Another summer benefit I forgot to note is protection from large flying insects. Especially...

    Derestricted or legal

It is a thing of beauty even for a non off roader like me. The first generation Lancia Delta and the Fiat Panda never gave me electrical problems. The Lancia Fulvia and Fiat Stilo on the other hand did justice to the Italian reputation

    Results of cycling accident

I wear one: - on the other side of the border on main roads, that is the law - on the trike because I ride that like a maniac and having rolled it once it seems like quite a good idea... The head is much closer to the ground, especially when upside down :D - when it is really sunny because it...

    Derailleur with 65 mm chainline

We creep closer each day to the motor being put on! I have moved and the trike hasn't been out since - hills to get out and hills to get back home. I have been comuting and so need my bike every day. Stay tuned!

    Derestricted or legal

At the moment I am often at 32-35 km/h on the way into town. As cars around me are doing about that or less at certain times of day I either take the lane or pass them riding down the center of the road. My cut off is set to 27 km/h LCD which is 25 km/h GPS, difference due to oversized tyres...

    Decathlon B'Twin Elops 940 E?

It would look (and handle) MUCH better if they had put the battery in the triangle but they have standardised the battery for both bikes to keep costs down.

    look what nkon has coming...

I think I would stick to 20 Ah and around 3 kg, 20 Amp discharge is not quite enough in my hilly area. It isn't a revolution, just an evolution, but I can't see a future for the 18650 cell in a pedelec battery with these cells coming to market.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Some more facts: - unemployment in the US is 3.8% except... 20 million people who don't work are not counted. In the EU we would say they have fallen through the social safety net, in the US there is no safety net, you are on your own. - teachers in the US cannot repay student loans and pay...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You could have said punto muerto (literally dead point) which I find more appropriate in the present situation because you can always back out of an impasse.
