    Brexit, for once some facts.

Sad lack of centralised common policies. Of course if we were in the EU we could get our heads together. Perhaps we should join, I always thought it was a good idea. .

Trouble is also that although they are now closing tomorrow for most, they will remain open for the children of health workers and other key people who are needed at work. Same logic as leaving prison doors unlocked as a fire precaution. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You're forgetting serious injuries, I never even suffered any injuries. One well known teen on my estate in a space of less than four years with three accidents broke his left femur, both left forearm bones and both right forearm bones. Every time I saw him subsequently I mischievously...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Not a problem though, artic couplings are universal. The trailer can be dropped at the border and hitched by the destination country tractor. Also you may remember that we had a lorry park trial in Kent to see how we'd cope with Brexit border control. The parking facilities with security...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

This morning even most of the fresh veg out of stock at my very large Sainsburys. But it's not due to panic buying. Back home just heard on the Beeb that the problem is getting foreign drivers to cross borders on the continent, since they are scared of not being able to re-enter their...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Seriously though, the young have always had a belief in their own invincibility, as any A & E knows from the convoy of youngsters coming in with broken bones etc. I well remember in my teens and early twenties doing incredibly dangerous things that I can hardly contemplate today. Somehow I got...

Maybe with all the those burdens it's their way of giving up, hoping to join the 3% and have no more problems. Easier than going to Switzerland. .

Indeed, the Orientals are pretty good at this game! Maybe a vaccine could be incorporated with the annual flu jab though. .

My point was, if it's ongoing while waiting a long time for vaccines, then we may get herd immunity first anyway. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Eventually we'll have to relax the restrictions if this is ongoing, opting for herd immunity. So what this means ironically is that it may have been the right way in the first place after all. .

    Death by ebike battery.

I think it's great though that e-cars are inspiring a huge increase in solar generation in this way. We are way behind such as Germany in home solar electricity, but I'm sure people will take note of this use and perhaps increase the takeup for their homes. .

And 1.07 to the euro. Near to proving my forecast at the time of the referendum, that the pound would sink to parity with the euro. Now we can painlessly rejoin the EU, plus the euro this time. :) .

    Death by ebike battery.

A whole lot longer than this electric revolution is proceeding. Considering the first mass market e-car, the Nissan Leaf, only hit the roads in December just over 9 years ago in Japan and the USA, the progress to this type of large multi car charging point is astonishing, and it's not the first...

    Death by ebike battery.

Work is underway at Gridserve’s first ultra-rapid EV charging hub – based at Braintree, Essex – with the Electric Forecourt due to open this summer. Capable of charging up to 24 vehicles at the same time, Gridserve’s Electric Forecourts will offer 350 kW ultra-rapid charge points. The site...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I doubt it's anything to do with our doctors. I think it is logical and it's why I'm so optimistic and have ignored Italy's data. The Italians socialise far more than we do, aided by their more clement weather, so transmission has many more opportunities. It seems our native reserve, poor...

    Death by ebike battery.

Fully agree, and that applies to 25% of the country's households according to an RAC survey for the government. In London that's even worse since it's more like 50%. However London has been offsetting that, first with many free to use public charge points, second with exemption from the £11.50...

    Death by ebike battery.

It amuses me how the e-car critics are so lacking in appropriate knowledge, Nigelbb now joining in with hopelessly inaccurate opinions on every point he makes. Mostly it seems based on Smart's very poor attempts at electrifying their models and an unwillingness to look at the many far better...

    Death by ebike battery.

For the second time you insult me with numerous lies, despite being previously corrected, the trademark of a bigot. I do have a safe electric car, based on longer and far superior in depth knowledge of the subject. These are in part due to being older than you and in part due to my many years...

    Death by ebike battery.

Yes you've expressed all this to me before, and I strongly disagree, especially since you are not sufficiently well informed due to being stuck with out of date information: Other than the Tesla ones I've criticised above, their batteries are proving to be good for ten years so far. They are...

Discussions started about legalising e-scooters, could this mean insurance insurance for e-bikers?

But musn't be used above 4 mph on pavements as I'm sure you know. This is why I cannot see the government ever allowing e-scooters on pavements. .
