    Brexit, for once some facts.

There was a program on BBC Radio 4 at 8 pm on Monday titled: Wales, a Twentieth Century Tragedy? So you haven't been forgotten! You can listen to it on the i-player on this link .

In fact I tried two chemists and drew a blank. I too haven't a clue where to get one, why on earth did Woollies shut down long ago? Heaven knows where kids practice theft nowadays. .

I think a number of those will be closed. BJ has already issued an appeal to MPs not to attend parliament unless the matter in hand in the House is something they are personally concerned with. So it's likely there will be far too few customers to sustain all those facilities. .

Latest is that he is compulsorily closing pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes and many other meeting places. His dad will be giving it to him! .

I've remarked on this too Tommie. Still I have yet to see anyone at all wearing a face mask of any sort, and all my recent movements are in South London and North Surrey. I can't see that the public are making any effort, outside of stockpiling supplies. .

Absolutely, that is where I am right now and will stay. Unfortunately though, if the latest year plus predictions are right, my three months of isolation isn't anything like enough. Still, if I can repeat it four times over with minimal periods of restocking at off peak times between them, I...

Only in some environments and only if the public wholeheartedly co-operate, and they clearly aren't doing here in London and Surrey. Nor can they, try standing a metre apart on a Victoria Line underground train going through Central London, you'd be doing well with a centimetre gap. And at...

More evidence of how containment fails. Just heard that in one country where the schools have been closed, the teenagers are gathering in large numbers in parks holding what they call "Corona Parties". :D Of course the authorities are less than delighted. .

    Freezing lithium battery

Only some. For example, Nissan Leaf e-cars used to have a battery heater, turning on at -16 degrees C and turning off at -10 degrees C. But the latest model that I own doesn't have it, Nissan finding it unnecessary it seems. Conversely many e-cars have battery cooling to cope with hot...

They do lose capacity at low temperatures as Andy says. I doubt your minus 10 will do any harm since Norway has gone in for lithium battery e-cars in a very big way with 52% of all registrations being e-cars. They are in use there right up to the arctic circle and all their batteries are...

I agree, some people seem to have been snatching crazy items that were never at risk of going short. They even emptied my largest supermarket of sugar, but Sainsburys response was to put some huge 5 kilo bags of granulated in. That'll test them as they try to lug those away! .

Nice to be proved right. I've posted that the government were wrong to advise people not to buy in stock and create shortage. I said that we have huge stocks of most things, even years of of them, and that the only problem was delay in getting replacement stocks out. Today the supermarkets...

That's handy, can be squashed flat easier for the staff to smuggle out under their coats. .

Powerful dictatorships certainly have a big advantage at such times of crisis. Not their only advantage either, and I'm not being sarcastic. .

Of course there's a lot of staff in number 10, and I imagine they'll be smuggling the odd roll out under their coats. ;)

I note the Queen has spoken the usual platitudes, but I think it might have been better if she hadn't. She's in no position to speak with her vast number of servants having to go to work at her four official homes. I'd have more respect if she'd retained something like a cook and cleaner for...

And what about the handles on the hundreds of baskets and trolleys? Each supermarket would have to have one person at least continuously swabbing their way through all those! .

Indeed, it was these sort of failings that I was trying to convince Danidl of earlier. I've seen no cleaning of such facilities at the supermarkets and other outlets I've been to, and most are obviously somewhat dirty. None of the delivery drivers I've seen have gloves or any other visible...
