Pro rider e tourer does not swith on

There are two problems that I can see. 1. Two of your phase wires aren't properly insulated. if they touch each other or the aluminiun frame, your motor won't work. You need to cover them somehow. Edit: I can see you fixed them in the video. 2. The brake wire pins aren't properly in on one...

Cyclotricity 250w front hub, what is it and what would be better?

It looks about right, though I haven't see as much solder on a shunt from the factory as the first one before.

    Battery cost for TSDZ2

It's a 65 cell pack, which is pretty standard, so should be OK. It's guaranteed for 2 years, which is about as long as any pack lasts. I would take a punt on it at that price.

I can't see enough in that mess of wires. Can you take some photos that show every connection to the controller?

Help! How do they enforce legal max power?

That's an interesting point. AFAIK, there is no requirement for a bike to meet the EN15194 standard under UK law. UK law is fairly brief and says that the motor must be rated at no more than 250w, the power must stop when you stop pedalling and the maximum speed allowed is 25km/h. It's EN15194...

Help! How do they enforce legal max power?

Isn't it better to have the option to pedal in all circumstances? You don't have to use top gear if you don't want to.

Help! How do they enforce legal max power?

It sounds like your gearing is too low. There are plenty of options to make it more comfortable. Tell us or show us what you have if you want suggestions.

    How to start?

Get a van and store your bike in the back of it. That's what I do. My Peugeot Partner does 55mpg, which is loads better than the saloon car I had before and it's nicer to drive.

Thinking of converting my commuting bike - questions and advice

No, not easy. All electric bikes can be derestricted in one way or another. It's easy if you know how, but easy might mean a lot of work and cost. If you want an unrestricted bike, check what's involved first, which I guess is what you're doing.

    Full Throttle ebike legal again!

Putting it like that, I'm pleased to use my throttle. Maybe I'll derestricted my bike too while I'm still alive and able to enjoy it.

    Bike Maintenance

Hang on, let's slow down a bit. The bike was bought by mail order. It sounds to me like CR are meeting all their obligations and trying to help. If the bike had been returned to them for fixing, we'd probably be in a different situation. We don't know what the local shop has said to CR, nor...

    Full Throttle ebike legal again!

My statistic above was for people killed by lightning, not just struck by it. I' be edited to make it clearer. Of course if you add all the people maimed for life in accidents, throttles become even less of a worry.

    Full Throttle ebike legal again!

Let's have some more realistic statistics then: There's a 1 in 33 million chance of being struck dead by lightning per year in the UK, so if you've reached retirement age, you've beaten a 1 in 500,000 chance. There's a roughly 1 in 500,000 chance that you would have been killed by a terrorist...

TSDZ2 hardtail MTB conversion picking the right budget bike

I's buy an older used bike on Ebay. You'll much better value for money. I can't see any advantage of buying new. There's much more chance of your motor fitting an older MTB because it's more likely to have a standard BB. The other thing you have to think about is whether the triangle is big...

60 miles on a folding bike? I think you're going to want to stop at about 20 miles.

Help! How do they enforce legal max power?

Not quite right my good friend. That is a pass/fail test to make sure the motor isn't over-rated., i.e. a 1000w motor will pass the 250w test. There is no test for the motor's power, and the rating is arbitrary - whatever the manufacturer says it is on the label. The only thing the police can...

    Bike Maintenance

None of what you say makes sense. Stuck forks can easily be repaired by any cycle shop. Bosch motors don not require any maintenance and are covered by warranty. Obviously, if you didn't oil your chain and sprockets, they won't be covered.. Pedals are supposed to be maintenance free. who ever...

Help! Bafang Hub motor... user serviceable?

It's the wheel size that's the problem with the Brompton. The only rims I found was the Sun CR18, which looks like what OP has. As I said, the Bafang QSWXK is very tricky to open. Have you done one?
