    PAS sensor wiring

Never assume anything. That's what the guy did before you, and after all his efforts, it cost him the bike. Measure and test if you want your bike fixed quickly and efficiently.

    PAS sensor wiring

If your controller can make your wheel turn at 4mph with the throttle, there's nothing wrong with it.

Help! Bafang Hub motor... user serviceable?

With 349mm rim? Are you selling Brompton kits now? You know 16" ISO is 305mm?

    Full Throttle ebike legal again!

The chance of an accident involving the police would be very low. The chance of the police noticing that you have a throttle after the accident is very low. The chance that the police are bothered about the throttle if they saw it is very low. The chance of a prosecution for using a throttle...

If you have the same LCD as this one, you can adjust the throttle. If you have a different control panel, show us a photo. This vid was made by forum member Jips1971

    PAS sensor wiring

Blue and yellow are probably the wrong way round. I know on the brake sensors, the Chinese used yellow as ground and blue as signal. It's a generic pedal sensor that can be replaced by any cheap one. The only problem is that there doesn't seem to be a standard for pin configuration. Unsolder...

Help! Bike required for 30 mile West Yorkshire commute (round trip)

There isn't really an economic case for using an electric bike to save money if you're going to buy anything other than a cheap Chinese one. You've underestimated the cost of running your car. By the time you add on tyre wear, servicing and other variable running costs, it will be closer to £6...

Help! Bafang Hub motor... user serviceable?

Where from? There are only a couple os sellers that sell complete wheels as part of a very expensive kit. Chinese 16" wheels are the wrong size.

Help! Bafang Hub motor... user serviceable?

That's a Bafang QSWXK motor. They're really tricky to get apart. There's one or two pointed grub screws through the edge into the thread, which jams the thread even when they've been removed, but even worse still, some are left-hand thread and some are right-handed, so you have no idea which way...

L plates on an s pedelec?

Plus, you can't take an S-pedelec on the motorway because any vehicle must have the capability to do 50 km/h. Neither can you take a 49cc motorcycle, even if it's the 50 mph 5-speed disc brake Honda SS50. 50.1 cc is allowed, regardless of speed.

    TSDZ2 Cold morning start.

The supplier. What he's saying is that it should be OK with a 48v battery. It can go as high as 56v before it throws a wobbly. If it doesn't work at 52v, he's saying that something is wrong with it.

Help! Bafang Hub motor... user serviceable?

Your description is ambiguous. Is that with the motor disconnected from the controller? If not, try it again disconnected.

    Faulty battery?

Don't forget to check the polarity.

    Faulty battery?

I'd say not a faulty battery. Measure the charge jack. That will tell you whether the charger fuse has gone, then measure the voltage on the battery's charge socket. That will tell you if the battery's charge fuse has gone. It's not unknown for chargers to have the wrong polarity, so always...

Help! Bafang Hub motor... user serviceable?

More often, the cause is electrical, not mechanical. If you disconnect the motor and turn it backwards by hand, you should be able to feel if there's any problem with the gears. The first thing to check is every connection between the motor and the controller. If you have the normal 9-pin...

Yes, but it also seems to dampen any vibration.

    What's happening at 50 Cycles?

It was after I heard about Jeffry Epstein killing himself. One day he tells his lawyers that he's in good spirits and wants them to work on a strategy to get him out of the high security jail he's in. Hours later, he does a backward flip off his 3ft high bed and strangles himself with the toilet...

    What's happening at 50 Cycles?

That's just speculation. It might have been divine intervention, or maybe one of their badly-treated customers put a curse on them.

    Newbie needing advice

If you're going to use an aluminium seatpost rack, you must add additional struts to support the back otherwise it will snap at the clamp due to metal fatigue. Some of the cheap ones have steel clamps and cantilevers, which are OK, but they never tell you in the adverts what that part is made...
