    Wanted Urban Mover Battery case

The Urban Mover battery was different to normal one. I've never seen one for sale. You can use any any 36v battery you want. i'd get a downtube or rack one depending on whether you have a stepthrough frame. All you need to do is run the two wire down to the controller that sits in the...

    ebike battery as a powerpack?

Not easily because they don't switch on until they've done the necessary hand-shaking with the motor controller. Most of the batteries in Chinese bikes would work.

    Question on Battery Life

I don't believe any of that is true. It's the complete opposite of everything I've read. Do you have any sources for that? Can you show us where you got that from? I don't think anybody would disagree that the police would become more informed about it, but where and how are they checking up...

    bafang mid-drive and akku connection

It's probably because the pedal is going round with the motor so that it thinks you're pedalling. It won't do that when you have you feet on the pedals or hold the pedal with your hand while you test with the throttle. I think you're panicking about nothing.

Different controllers work better with some motors than others. It doesn't mean that anything is wrong with them. The only controller I could get to work smoothly with an Ezee motor was an Ezee one. All the others juddered, vibrated or turned the motor backwards. I have one controller that I use...

    Commuter bike build advice

Those 500w Voilamart kits are not very good. They're very heavy and not very efficient, and they have terrible control systems. That's why they're cheap. Don't think that you get twice the power of a 250w system. My 250w motor will blow that into the weeds, especially if you bring in any hills...

    Q128C freehub replacement

That's a Kede motor. I keep looking at them, but there have been a lot of reliability issues. Also, they have a temperature sensor in them that cuts the power right down every time you go up a hill! The Neomouvs at the bike show had the new tiny Bafang cassette motors in them. I haven't see...

    Double freewheel motor kits

They work as long as your frame has the normal angle at the back. The motors and controllers burn out if you go too slow up hills and they're no longer legal because there's no pedal assist.

    Question on Battery Life

When Bosch guarantee 2 years or 500 charges, it means down to 80% capacity compared with 100% when new, so if it goes to 79% capacity, you get a new one. When you get to 80%, the difference becomes noticeable. After that the capacity starts to accelerate downwards and the battery becomes saggy...

    Yosepower hub kits.

The Yose controller is a general controller for any brushless sensored hub-motor. There are settings in the controller that have to be changed to make it work properly with different motors, like P1 for the number of magnets in the motor times the reduction ratio and C2 for motor phase angle.

    Newbie needing advice

There's plenty of stuff to choose from. It all works, though some better than others. Rather than choose a kit just because it's available, it's better to decide what you want it to do, then choose the right stuff accordingly. You can choose such characreistics as high torque, long range, light...

Cyclotricity 250w front hub kit: KT LED890 issues

Either you have the wrong P2 setting (normally = 1) or your speed sensor isn't working. Why can't you set your display to mph in the basic settings?

    Q128C freehub replacement

I haven't had any problems with my Q128C, but I know other cassette motors gave the problem you described. In them, it was caused by rust, which stopped the pawls moving properly. A squirt of 3-in-1 fixed them. Are your pawls damaged.

In that last case, the guy had exactly what you described. The chain or top gear was rubbing. In other cases the washer was too big. It was touching both the inner and the outer of the bearing it was up against. I've also seen a washer on the drive side touching the inside of the freehub spline...
