No. They differ mainly on the cassette or freewheel. If you have a freewheel (typically 3 x 7-speed), then SWX02. If you have more speed, 3x8, 3x9, 3x10, 2x10 etc then DWG22C. SWX02: Note the thread for a freewheel:

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don't think Europe is ready to let nature takes its course. a treatment will probably be found before a vaccine. That will shorten the length of stay in hospitals and reduce the workload for the NHS. Also, it will give some re-assurance to those under curfew. As I said, we need to keep the...

to do that, you will need a pretty rigid and extensive lockdown. I don't think we can afford the economic cost: restricted public transport, tourism, sport, entertainment and keep a huge group of those over 70s permanently under curfew.

unfortunately, for every 4 benign cases, you get one that needs hospitalisation. we'll soon run out of beds and many more doctors and nurses will get it too. The long term solution is like Barry suggested, we accept a level of fatalities until treatment and vaccine are found. We do so with...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

yes, we try to keep a constant flow of cases that the NHS can still cope. Let's assume that an acceptable level of fatalities is 500 a day and the average hospital stay is 22 days. The NHS will need to devote 500 x 22 = 11,000 beds to COVID19.

this is worrying. 60733/232706=26% 5492/12950 = 42% that shows alarming acceleration in the spreading.

sorry Stephen. my DWG22C kit runs with only one battery option at the moment, 48V 12AH HL downtube battery. On the positive side, I have it in 26", 700C and 650B rims. https://wooshbikes.co.uk/cart/#/product/uid-241-dwg22c-48v12ah/shengyi-dwg22c-48v-250w-rear-hub-kit-with-48v-12ah-battery...

    Lockdown

it's peaking because of the lockdown. You can't lockdown 65 millions of us for long. As soon as the lockdown is lifted, it will be back, then more lockdown and so on. The virus will become endemic in the population and remain infectious like the common cold, except it kills 50 times more people...

    Lockdown

it is so infectious that WHO reckons that 80% of us will get it if exposed to it. Petentially, 2.2 millions of us could die of it.

    Lockdown

I only repeat the findings of WHO. 4.3% of those who got infected will die. At the moment, 10% of those hospitalised in the UK with CV have died. How many do you think are going to get infected if we do nothing?

    Lockdown

the team at UCL started predicting 500,000 deaths then 250,000 then 20,000 with different scenarios to control CV. We discussed these numbers and mitigation strategies a few weeks back in the charging post section of the forum.

    Lockdown

it is encouraging. Daily cases gone down to 3,600 a day from 4000-5000 a day with more testing. As a rule of thumb, fatality count is about 4.3%-10% of the new cases. 3600 new cases yesterday will be translated to 154-360 deaths in 2 weeks time. You can see the growth rate of fatalities has gone...

the alternative is to let a million or two people who are in care homes, overweight and/or with underlying health conditions die before they can be vaccinated.

because they are predicting that we'll get a second wave. our government would rather mitigate a second wave than testing everybody to prevent it. Germany would pull all the stops to stop a second wave.

    Lockdown

At present, if you look at 20,000 deaths in the first wave, the economic cost of CV so far is about £100 billions or £5 millions per death. We can't carry on very long bearing that cost. We will be under intense pressure to lift up the lockdown as soon as possible, possibly in June or July. the...
