    Brexit, for once some facts.

Second reminder, I haven't defended anything they do and I certainly don't defend their farming practices. Try to let it soak into your brain. I've merely said their practice of hunting what they can eat makes more sense than our hunting what we can't eat. It's you who has expanded that way...

Indeed, discarded fast food particularly. The foxes clean it up for us, big problem? Seems good to me in an age where council street cleaning has all but disappeared. As for attacks on children, I remember one case where a baby was nipped, the parents carelessly leaving door open access...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

To neurotic people perhaps, but what real danger? For us as for foxes, traffic is a far, far greater danger. The vast majority of us don't feel in any way threatened by foxes. I know of no-one expressing fear here in this large London border estate, despite occasional foxes trotting through...

Having also lived in France, with French family there and knowing everything you know about France on this subject, I know you are exaggerating simply to pick another row with me. The subject in case you'd missed it is fox hunting in Britain. I only brought the French practice in to say they...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You are the one spouting nonsense As I said, average fox life one to three years, though their life potential is that of dogs. There is no urban fox problem, they trot through my suburban area day and night causing no problem, and no one individual lasts very long. Traffic is a major killer...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Typical silliness from you. Yes there are very rare accidents, but that is what they are. They are not hunting mountain bikers or sunbathers. As for the young starving, that is an entirely natural thing. Every time a vixen is run over or shot while hunting food for the young, they starve...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The most effective control in the country is night shooting using lamping, infinitely more effective than hunting with dogs and far less disruptive. In urban and suburban areas the high numbers killed by traffic are plenty of control. It's not often realized that the average life of a fox is...

    electric scooter/skateboard laws

ebiker, I don't know your grounds for disagreement, but perhaps you aren't aware that ministerial orders distributed to police forces have the force of law. In the highly unlikely event of the magistrates convicting, taking it to appeal would result in dismissal. A prior example pertaining to...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Wrong comparison, no-one eats foxes. The French have it right and think we are mad hunting them, nearly 100 years ago banning an English foxhunt in France. The French only hunt what they eat, very sensible. .

    electric scooter/skateboard laws

No need to argue. When the officer gives his evidence, don't challenge it, merely cross examine and get him to acknowledge you were not riding in a dangerous fashion. Then pass a copy of the Minister's statement to the magistrates for the charge to be dismissed. .

    Help! Tyre Info Request

Not Gringo replying, but if you want more comfort than the MP 700 x 38 tyre, Continental make their Contact Plus which has the same puncture protection layers as the Schwalbe MPs. But they also make them at 700 x 42 or 700 x 47 which will be more comfortable, especially the latter. Some...

The oldest one was called Blanco, also used by those forces who wore white canvas belts, military police, RN sailors etc. Later commercial companies made whitener for plimsoles, the most popular one made by Meltonian. Whitener is still available, now for trainers, the shoe polish brand Kiwi...

    Police on E-Bikes

They could have already without any special law, just as we could, but only if the pedelecs were registered as motor vehicles after SVA. No point though, since higher speed and power e-bikes are already available for anyone and have the Certificate of Conformity ready for registration. .

    Police on E-Bikes

They can and have done at times, but knowing the circumstances of those trials I'm betting they didn't. They had little idea of the law at that time and if looking would probably be misled by the type approval laws stating the limit was 250 watts. That was what had fooled the trade at the time. .
