For Sale Greyp G12S Electric Bike only 279 miles total! £6,500

I'm not disputing that and anyone is free to do as they wish as far as I'm concerned. But you posted that riders of this machine are advised to ride legally, and that is misleading since it's simply not possible as an e-bike. And again you are wrong about off road. Anywhere the public have...

For Sale Greyp G12S Electric Bike only 279 miles total! £6,500

Not really, derestriction of a normal pedelec makes it an S-class pedelec. The 45 mph machine advertised goes beyond even moped law, being a motorcycle which can't even be ridden legally on any group P, AM, or Q moped licence. A group A1 motorcycle licence is the minimum required, as well as...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Given the scale of dissatisfaction with both main parties, I think they'd probably all hang on to their seats. After all, they resigned in protest, so for the public voting for them it would be a protest vote. I agree though that until we get proportional representation, these small groups are...

Clegg could be wishing he hadn't resigned. .

You are missing the point. It is illegal on the roads under any circumstances, no matter how slowly ridden. It's not a e-bike, its a motorcycle needing a full motorcycle licence, registration etc. That's why few here will be interested. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

As long as the gap between Tory and Labour is 40 seats or less at a GE, the Independents and LibDems in alliance can probably stop them. .

And that 11 equals the LibDems 11. Since the Independent group are middle of the road, they and the LibDems could combine and dictate who gets into government at the next GE. Neither the Tories or Labour are likely to get an overwhelming win so another coalition is possible, even quite likely. .

Sounds good, but their Skoda division call it the Citigo and their Seat division call it the Mii. Of course VW's electric version is the e-Up. Sounds like something a Yorkshireman might say! It's great little car and I'd have bought that instead if the battery had been big enough, but under...

You may not know, but it even goes further than that. Almost the entire electrical system on my Nissan Leaf is 12 volts, powered from a perfectly ordinary SLA car battery under the bonnet. Only the traction battery, a cable with fuse link to the integrated controller and motor unit are high...

Surely not a shock, more a pleasant surprise. It's this flexibility that makes the EU so lovable. :) .

Yes, only the ECJ's ruling are mandatory, the ECHR's are not. .

Mostly true, but as before I entirely discount the pressure to switch to electric as a current factor. With e-car sales at 1% and hybrids at 3%, it will be a number of years before they become a big enough factor to dictate where to manufacture. Meanwhile most of the car makers sales of the...

As Woosh has posted, the court in this case would be the ECHR, and it's findings are only advisory. Indeed David Cameron ruled about three years ago that the ECHR would as a matter of government policy be ignored in future. .

I'm quite sure that's the case. Certainly Toyota changed their tune on Brexit after receiving a big bung of cash, and now Honda after initially saying that Brexit was a factor are saying it definitely wasn't after having a chat with the Minister. .

Agreed, and exactly as I forecast would happen after hearing the Home Secretary taking the same line. It's not over yet though, she can appeal. .

Including explicitly excluding everything! Way back in 1835 the Highway Act made any form of mechanically propelled vehicle illegal, and it's still in force. In practice every type of such vehicle must have a specific legal approval for use. That's why Segways and the like are illegal. So in...

    Electric cars, motorbikes and boats

Trouble is how long will the hugely expensive battery last with that ultra fast charging? Nissan have been at this game longer than most and are now hitting this problem, batteries regularly rapid charged failing to reach warranty life. Potentially very expensive for them. Their newest model...

I'm afraid supercapacitors wonder anouncements are like those for battery advances. Not 1 in 1000 worth anything. The only thing that counts is working prototypes and there's not a hint of any. The French have already done this, but it doesn't seem to have come to anything - Information...

Agreed. However the company was advertised for sale in 2007, but no sale made of course, Scott Snaith retaining the company. I've no idea of the current intention. .
