Anyone know how to find a replacement battery for a Claud Butler Glide 2, or would it need all new electrics?

The original battery was a 36v Lifepo4 I believe , you can confirm this by telling us of showing a pic of the charger label. If you can't source another lifepo4 battery then buy a new rear rack and battery with charger so that you know it fits and will charge, you can buy and use a lighter...

    Wisper 705se

The PAS is the standard magnet disc and sensor located under the BB, so check they are aligned. The magnets must pass by the sensor with about a 1 or 2mm gap. The display receives the PAS signal from the controller via the PAS sensor, battery & hub motor have no say in the signal.

    Lockdown

I have had more chance over the last 10 days of falling off the tower scaffold at home carrying out at ( high level ) exterior work on the house then coming a cropper on my bike. I'm not to bothered if I come across anyone ( I will expect it) as one of the parties approaching will make the...

Any other controllers that will work on Yose power 350w

Show us a pic of your controller and the connectors. Your controller sounds like it is suffering from thermal cut outs, the 6 mosfet ones do this once they get to hot. Temporarily they short until they cool down then work again, I was having similar issue riding on the South Downs using high...

    Speedo correction

Most rely on the speedo reading having checked it against a GPS. The fastest I have gone is about 77km/h or 48mph down hill fast enough for me.

    Change pads - Greenedge CS2

Not being familiar with the Green edge I can only surmise what normally occurs, for all disc brakes you have to unbolt the calliper first from the frame whether front or rear. Most pads are retained by a split pin that needs straightening to remove it or a small hex screw is used, once either of...

    Help! Battery Recharge Intervals

A partial charge doesn't count as one cyclic charge, it needs to be 100%, so 60% & 40% charge counts as one full cyclic charge and so on, etc, etc.

    Policing by consent

Policing by consent is voluntary as long as generally most abide by the advice given, there are exemptions to be out and about but not in groups, if the masses go against it then enforcement will happen. The army would be on stand by to help if it were ever to come to it, to help the police...

    Help! Battery Recharge Intervals

Either I use an lcd3 with voltage reading or on my home built packs I wire in a separate meter on the exterior of the pack, the addition of a volt meter is easy and even a locked in system should be possible. On my commute/town bike I know the voltage quite accurately by mileage or by the lcd...

    Help! Battery Recharge Intervals

Yes no real issue with doing so for short runs. Minimum value is 32v/33v about 10/15% and a get home value in low pas if needed, I usually cease discharge at about 35v so about 30%.

    TSDZ2 hitting chainstay! (Pics)

The issue it the lower stays from the seat post /BB, arewide and fat to start with where as a lot of bike are narrow at this point before the stays spread/angle out. The choice of bike can be/is quite important with mid drive conversions. A few have wielded the big hammer before now.

    Help! Battery Recharge Intervals

If only doing short rides and using only 15% no harm in leaving it as is and going for another short ride before fully charging again.

yosepower 36v350w no throttle or pas?

Check brake cut out sensor's if fitted or disconnect them to see if PAS/throttle works again.

We don't know the location so no one can advise on a re - celler ? As for Panasonic they are a good manufacturer but there are better cells to use, the LG 10a cells are very good and looks like the new Samsung 50E is going to be a great cell.

I won't be surprised if the answer you get is we can't repair batteries and you need a new one. In the most part it will be too time consuming and costly for them to diagnose and then will be unable to repair before presenting you with a bill for a battery no better off.
