Thanks, looks like they've got it installed again. Still no "Ignore Threads" function which we formerly had. .

I don't know what sort of list that is, but it's not part of this site's software so doesn't hide the posts of those on it. And there's no function for adding anyone else to the ignore list The Ignore function of the previous site software hid all the posts of those on the list. .

There isn't one now. When the site changed software the ignore function disappeared so all previous ignores became visible. .

You both surprise me, try adding "If". If we flew drones around the areas where there's illegal immigration attempts, after the example of the Gatwick episode we'd also be grounding our airliners, stopping us leaving. An amusing ironical comment on how we often defeat ourselves. .

I've just checked Robdon's reactions record since I was sure it was mostly Likes or Agrees. Here it is: Agree: over 1000 Disagree: 238 Likes: over 10,000 Dislikes: 97 Boring: 327 Funny: 107 Sad: 8 Informative: 4 .

I often think the problem is related to long posts covering many aspects. It's all too easy to agree or disagree with something near the end of a long post, inadvertantly applying it where not intended. I try to be careful not to do that, so often don't apply a like/dislike where I would have...

I think it was very unfair to include Robdon in that, he cannot have twisted anything since he hasn't posted politically, apart from this amusing post shortly after the referendum. In addition he's agreed many time with my posts having moderate positions. .

If Jonathan really is OldTom, on which I have little idea, you are very wrong since he does own e-bikes and has posted many times on the subject. This link gives some detail, plenty more like it. .

I don't know quite what to think from that. Is it EU blue or Tory Blue? If Tory blue, are the yellow spots indicating a preference for another Tory/LibDem coalition? .

Odd that after I mentioned the almost unknown power of prorogue on the 16th of January as a way out of the Brexit impasse, Jacob Rees Mogg has just presented it as an idea for the same purpose. As an MP he will no doubt have researchers, as does his ERG, so who knows what they trip over online...

Sounds a good idea. Given that Jacob Rees Mogg has in the last few months changed from bitterly opposed to May's Deal to being conditionally prepared to agree to it, another couple of years and he'll be a staunch Remainer. .

I was answering in AK's context, but actually I agree Danidl. With my extensive natural history involvement I would have to! .

The Queen can do it, parliament recently renewed her right to prorogue, see this link. So she could if Theresa May ask her to do so to allow time to deal with the impasse. .

You haven't been following the thread Dave, but it seems Jacob Rees Mogg has been! I raised that we could prorogue on the 16th January on these three links: Link 1 Link 2 Link 3 .

The only point I can see is that it makes some feel proud to have passed. Which is rather stupid for a gift of birth. .

No it has no aims or valid purpose. A golf club promotes golf, cycling club cycling etc., but Mensa cannot promote something people either have or haven't got. All a bit pointless anyway, intelligence takes many forms, all of which cannot be assessed by a single test which is culturally biased...
