I have never seen this with C14 on my bikes. The economical sweet spot is above the cut off, if you can maintain it or in lower PAS. I very rarely use more then PAS 2 unless the terrain is steeper. The motor is at it's most efficient at about 60-70% of it's ultimate speed

Bafang use the Higo make and KT uses the Julet make, you have to stick solely with one type as they are not wire sequenced the same (as seen above). Its a pity they aren't sequenced the same as the connectors themselves are wholly compatible otherwise.

Voltage drop can be done statically if a throttle is used or by using the PAS system, the load can be applied by gentle brake pressure applied. Using the PAS may be esier with someone else to help.

Mxer you need to temporary wire up a cheap volt meter to see what happens to the voltage, as all been said when a load is asked of the battery and it can't cope with the load demand the voltage collapses or sags very badly.

How old is the battery ? As your description of cutting out sounds like voltage possibly collapsing. Hubs don't usually work or not there is no in between.

C14 doesn't give any current change, afaict all C14 does is increase PAS signal strength.

Show us a pic of the controller with label and the connectors.

A throttle is legal all depends on bike/kit age and how the throttle is configured for use.

I would stay clear of the Crossfire it has caused more aggro/angst for owners. The Suntour system has thus far proved to be troublesome, that a side once warranty runs out spares will be impossible to get and you will only have Halfrauds to help you out.

For PAS C1 try the values 5 & 6 as well. The 12 count disc sometimes don't work to well and you are better using an8 or 10 count disc. C3 try 5 or 8. For P1 to be near spot on you need to ride with GPS for setting up. Set the lcd to 25km/h and then adjust the P1 value up or down until the speed...

Adding two brake cut offs adds to issues should one arise, on a bike only one is really needed on the rear brake.
