    Regulations on DIY electric bikes

No chance of that Mike, the UK is far stricter than the EU. IT was EU law that forced the assist limit up twice, the original UK assist limit speed was 12 mph! Similarly the DfT have been strongly opposed to the introduction of the bureaucracy free S class high speed pedelecs that are...

I agree, we'll then find out who the sleepers are, Leavers or Remainers. Like OG I've previously posted that only a hard exit will show the truth. That doesn't worry me since I'm well insulated against any ill effects and I'm too old to suffer any long term effects. However, I think fear will...

    Regulations on DIY electric bikes

I copied an explanatory PDF which was more detailed, but here are the rules: https://www.gov.uk/electric-bike-rules As you'll see they are very simple since there is no law specifically for kit builds. Just do as that link shows and stop worrying. As said in that link, you are just riding a...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You'd better find some better facts than this. Our GDP is largely internal so won't pay for all the imports we need to survive. It's the balance of trade than matters, we aren't doing too well in that and if we crash out with no deal, it will get a whole lot worse for a long time. .

This is the irony Zlatan, both side as guilty. The more extreme No Deal backers like JRM and co. are driving the calls for a new referendum and the more extreme remainers towards no deal, doing each others dirty work. Nowhere is this more true than in the House of Commons. .

    Regulations on DIY electric bikes

As Another Kiwi says. Testing only applies to manufactured pedelecs, there is no construction law for kit pedelecs so it's only necessary to comply with usage law, i.e. 250 watts maximum and no power assistance above 15.5 mph. Below is the extract from UK law on labelling, two types according...

The trade talks are the next two stages of the Brexit talks, but we have to resolve stage two on how we are to depart first. Then the trade agreement talks start. We agreed to this order of procedure in the first place when the Brexit talks started. .

The strange thing OG, is that when I post easily checkable entirely factual information like that of your forecasting record, both Tommie and Fingers mark it as "funny". It seems to indicate the low value they place on truth, while so obviously valuing faint hope very highly. I wonder if...

You don't know what reality is Tommie, of course I haven't signed. We are a parliamentary democracy so I do not support such petitions or referenda. General Elections and our MPs are the legitimate avenues for registering preferences. .

Wrong again, OG not only correctly forecast the referendum result but has from the beginning of this thread promoted No Deal as the best way to get Brexiters to understand what they'll get. So far from being a slow learner, he's been far ahead of the game all along. .

Could be due to history, just for me. As pedelecs first member when the site opened and giving most of the technical help, I was given the title Guru by the administrators. That later caused great annoyance with a newer member who also gave considerable technical help but who resented me...
