    Brexit, for once some facts.

His Leaver logic is that right cannot become wrong, decisions he agrees with are both democratic and unchangeable. Of course our Remainer logic tends to be the opposite, what is wrong cannot become right. Hence the impasse (a French word in true Remainer spirit!). .

    Kalkhoff Agattu Motor Problem?

If both use the Panasonic unit it seems either the large nylon gear is chewing up or one of the units bearings is seizing All the motor bearings are replaceable, there are two on the nylon gear shaft and two small ones in the motor, plus the pedelec sensor shaft bearings I've only ever known...

    Kalkhoff Agattu Motor Problem?

It will be stiff wheeling backweards since that reverses the chain against the motor freewheel and is therefore turning the motor through up-gearing, always difficult. So that stiffness doesn't necessarily mean a motor fault, though that is very likely to be the problem. Is it the Panasonic or...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

They're living in a fools paradise, they'll get black residents whether they like it or not. My black nephew in law (also a Tony like us) lived in Corfe Castle village in Dorset up to his death a year or so ago and was a valued volunteer helping to keep the Swanage Heritage Steam Railway going...

    Bosch Powerpack 400 losing capacity

I don't know of any table or graph for that, but can give some indication from my new Nissan Leaf's lithium battery indicated range. From the quite hot weather in early July here in the south there's an almost 12% loss of indicated range at the recent 4 degrees C. From the more average...

The Garden of England becomes the paved Garden of England. And HS1 becomes LS1 while all the passports of the train passengers are checked. Oh Brexiters, what have you done. .

When the bike goes up in flames...

It will have been the battery, most likely due to a defect in one or more of the cells. These lithium battery fires were commonplace a few years back. It mainly occurs when a manufacturing defect in the electrolyte allows crystals of metallic lithium to form. These grow with jagged edges so...

    Smart eBike. Battery care.

They often have either active or passive battery heating and cooling, essential in the more extreme climates. Not so important in moderate climates like the UK, so sometimes omitted. Previous Nissan Leafs had it but my 2018 model doesn't *, using rapid charging limitations instead, a...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The lucky ones! Why on earth does anyone become an UBER driver in such as London? Stressful heavy traffic, wearing the car out, never knowing what kind of fare you're picking up, risk of attack, risk of someone throwing up in the car after drinking, long periods of no work or earnings and...

    Smart eBike. Battery care.

It's cell ageing. There's optimum charge content and storage temperatures for minimising loss of cell life over time. Charge content of around 20 to 40% is usually recommended. For long term storage the least capacity loss results from storing at near to zero degrees C, but never below. If...

I prefer to do a recharge every two months during storage to avoid any risk of the "sleep" mode failing. That mode only switches off the BMS supply. In theory the cells themselves don't discharge but could transfer charge if any cell is a bit down. So for me it's play safe. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I've no doubt, but I see no need to import any when we produce so many in England with abundant clay resources. In 17 years of supplying the construction industry I'd never knowingly tripped over an Irish brick in England. Oyster's mention of them in his house in the extreme west of Wales may...

This Falcon jolt, different speed sensor than other bikes.

First thought, is it the same on all three of the switched power levels? Second thought, the law does require the power level to phase down as it approaches the 15.5 mph cut-off. So it may be that there's some power between 12 and 15 mph, but it's not until it falls to 12 mph that full power...
