    Help! Motor hall sensor fault

Never assume we have had members who have had new controllers turn out to be faulty.

Noisy Breaks but not pad twitter on the rotors.

Look on the outer face of the rotor somewhere it should have resin stamped on the face, M315 set as will all the M xxx series right up to at least M525 will be marked resin and need resin/organic pads. If you want to use sintered/metallic pads buy Shimano icetech centrelock rotors cost about...

    Bafang BBS02b 36volt to 48v conversion.

You have to tell us which type of battery case you have us or provide us with a pic. Woosh sell batteries so you could give them a call to see which cells they use. https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/ysbattery-2012?_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2754 HarvestMoon is the Ebay site for Enerprof/Enerpower...

    Entry Level Bike Advice

All parts are generic China stuff so easily replaced even many years later.

    Voilamart 250w kit

In #11 you said you had an 8 pin wire motor so speed is roughly calculated by cadence from PAS sensing/motor speed. Have you or did you fit and external speed sensor with spoke magnet at all for a real world speed reading ?

    Pedal assist sensor

Display only selects the level, controller is the brains of the bike.

    Sqeaking brakes

I use the twin piston Shimano calliper that takes the B01S pad and have same model fitted to four bikes and have yet to have any issues with them.

    Bafang BBS02b 36volt to 48v conversion.

Buy a 48v BBS, the controller will blow if you use 48v battery on a 36v model. 29E would certainly be better in a 10s6p config, though you are better off with good 10a cells like Panasonic PF , 3200mah BD or 3400 GA also LG 3500mah MJ1 or Samsung 30Q. Save a few quid and get Jimmy at...

500w hub motor for 160mm dropouts?

My commute/errand bike I use a 6 fet without issue but with little in the way of inclines, it is run at optimal speed or above so doesn't get warm. That said sometimes when going to the bee's, I do have one small incline when towing my trailer and have had no controller issue but only use PAS...

Lightweight mid-drive kit for short commute

Any updates Tony on the Gospade availability ?

Rear hub motor. Step through. High torque. Suggestions appreciated.

I would want an integrated frame battery or forward mount battery to spread the weight . I tow up to 40kg with trailer and the weight is noticeable at times with my hub bike, the battery is frame mounted in the diamond.

    Introducing the new Woosh Rambla

Not my style of bike but looks very nice/clean and neat, though one day if ever my needs changed I would have to accept riding one. Sadly I have a dislike for the look of the bulky lumps of the integrated mid drive look. An option of Alfine 8 hub gears would add to appeal for non nonsense gear...

    Entry Level Bike Advice

It sounds like you don't want to spend to much so you are looking at a hub bike. Woosh are known for very good reliable bikes with great CS. For a no nonsense cheaper bike have a look at the Kudos Cycles range of dutch style/step thru bikes. https://www.kudoscycles.com/index.php?intro=done

    Sqeaking brakes

Rotor material and pad material are the two main factors . Most cheap rotors are only suitable for resin/organic soft pads, semi - metallic pads are too hard and will either make them squeal like a pig or have little stopping power. The only real option so it matters not which pad material you...

500w hub motor for 160mm dropouts?

I have yet to blow a KT controller, the easiest way is by cross polarity. They (or the 6 fet) ones do suffer from heat/thermal cut outs if you like to climb a lot at slow speed. The 9 fet are bigger but more reliable.

    Bafang 250W amazing range

37v is about 50 - 60% capacity so the one bar dropped isn't a true reading, the final bars should appear a lot quicker then you think.

Carrera Crossfire e speed controller photos

You can't hack the Suntour system. If needing more speed find some hills to go down or do as Anon has said, he knows because that is what he has done.
