    My introduction

Generic sensors are directional so the magnet disc needs to pass the sensor in the correct direction, if it doesn't work forwards try back peddling if it works then you have to flip the magnet disc fo the magnet poles to be sensed. Although you are capable I'm sure, the pin outs have to match...

Two batteries on one bike :)

On my 700c Boardman I carry three PF batteries, one on down tube and a pair of soft packs in the rear top bag. Paralleled all together for 10s14p for 40.6ah/1461 wh @36v nom. 160 odd miles at usage of 9wh/m.

    Grindy hub

My Luishi integrated controller did that with my Oxydrive kit, a very loud electrical contact noise. The last straw was when the lvc kept coming in to play with near fully charged batteries. I bit the bullet and swapped out for KT/LCD3 using the faultless/excellent Bafang CST. The noise is...

    Help! Looking for experienced technician.

You said the above happened, the motor wire as it enters the hub is the likely culprit.

    350W yose engine cuts

Swap the controller over to see if it is the same, the chance is a fault with the controller rather then the hub motor.

    350W yose engine cuts

If using the V12L then check the installation and make sure it is not pinched tight by the crank arm also make sure the centre splines are gripping the bottom bracket axle firmly. There will likely nothing wrong with the controller or hub motor. I use another KT controller and PAS 10 pole and...

    Carrera crossfire/vulcan tuning

Adding a heat sink may help a little with the fins being cooled by air flow, with warm ambient temps though that might not be enough. The next option is to have a 5v mini fan attached to said heat sink and run if off a 18650 ether 1 or 2p. 5v fans only use about 50mv so a 18650 will run for days.

Wheel replacement - Giant road e bike plus 1

You can use any rim that suits your needs have it built with Sapim strongs or buy a ready built wheel. I use Sapim on all my wheel builds now and find no issue with using £20 rims by Exal which I buy off ebay., these are used on road off road on the Downs North and South and any where else I...

Kuenteng KT ones have those characteristics. If unsure post a link of the item as you have with the hub.

48v 250 isn't common. Over volting 36v means replacing the controller for a 48v capable one, if doing that you are better off with a torque/current control one with 5 levels of PAS for better power delivery.

The Voilamart is a weedy motor overvolting it will likely burn it out but you could give it try and tell us what happens. No display so will be will be a speed controller with little no smooth delivery of power /control.

You can get 250w 48v freewheel hub about £125 via China though may have other fees on top maybe £30, then it will need lacing and trueing into a rim. The option of used already in a rim may be cheaper option if it is in good working order. Best bet for controller is a KT 17 or 20a with lcd3...

    Budget kit recommendation

Generally laptop cells aren't much use as they are of low capacity and amp rating. Mixing various different cells again is a no-no as capacities and resistance will vary and the pack after all your work is likely to fail, power delivery likely to be poor with deep voltage sag. If the battery...

    Controller cooling

My 20a controller in a bag got very hot and thermally cut a few times on a ride, using high PAS level climbing doesn't help and heat builds up. The extra ali plate it will be fixed to will act as an extra heat sink if controller is in direct contact and if this is tight against the frame then...
