Difficulties getting an e-car, Part 2

Fiat 126, Panda 45S, Panda 1000 Fire, Lancia Delta (Fiat bits and bobs), Lancia Delta, Fiat Stilo, my last car (ever?). The Stilo was lots of fun "please pull off the road ASAP something is going to explode" or equivalent it kept saying - for about three years, it used to worry my young sons...

    L1e-A testing requirements

I think you are being overly pessimistic despite my having a first hand experience of British bureaucracy, indigenous and exported variety. The EU regulation is predominant (for the moment, if my reading of the news is correct...) and would always hold up in court. You could argue that the bike...

    Electric fishing bike...

The first time I saw a fatbike I thought to myself "beach trolling!" i.e. towing a trolling line with a paravane at the end along the beach (deserted hopefully). We have a season where spotted sea bass feed just offshore... Yes my fishermen friends called me a nutter on that one.

    Cadence with age

I have been wondering about my cadence not having a tool to mesure it, but going from the cadence calculator http://www.bikecalc.com/speed_at_cadence I would say sprinting about 115 and 90 at regular rate. My pedelec has helped me lose 4-5 kg and I am not far from form weight at about 77-78 kg...

Wanted - sine wave controller from 09 bottle battery

Not yet I need to knuckle down and earn the spare cash... In any case I would ask them to not ship the throttle and brake levers which I don't need.

    Electric fishing bike...

One of the things I do with my pedelec is hook up my trailer throw all the gear in and lash a few rods on top and go fishing. Today I went on foot but... fresh fish in the fridge for the first time in quite a while! :) I taught myself a new technique for me, fishing with paste. A mix of...

Difficulties getting an e-car, Part 2

http://www.citroen.co.uk/new-cars-and-vans/citroen-range/citroen-c-zero With the back seat folded down you could possibly get a small bike in the back. I couldn't get a large lazy dog in there because the floor is really high with the battery underneath... I prefer the design to the Renault Zoe...

    L1e-A testing requirements

“Furthermore, the Commission explicitly stated that open throttle bicycles up to 25 km/h would be classified as L1e-A vehicles. Before this statement, the Commission had indicated that L1e-A was meant for pedal assisted cycles 25 km/h up to 1 kW only. Categorization of open throttle bicycles as...
