    Covert Ops

Appropriate etiquette Tell them to shut up and answer the question. Sorry it isn't very politically correct as an answer but I did answer the OP's question and what followed did annoy me slightly...

    Handlebar height

Yes there are rules, it is a science called ergonomics. You can find some good guides on line for setting up your bike correctly. If it is the right size for you - mine is too small, it was free so I can't complain...

    Most expensive battery ever?

Haven't you ever been to Switzerland? I worked there for a big multinational and they paid for everything except booze because if we had added expenses to the bill... Swiss bike, Swiss battery prices.

    M128 500W rear motor

I am studying my options for my next build and the Q128 in a 28" wheel is one of the two choices I have made. I will stick to 36 V in order to be able to use the same battery on two different bikes. I currently have the 36 V Mxus which is rated at 250 W but I see 500 W on the LCD when in...

    Trigger's Broom

I guess that now we have 4 stroke motors instead of 2 stroke because of emission laws that they will be building light 49 cc four strokes that will be limited to 25 kph/15 mph and they will fit pedals to help along in hills like back in the day. They will be lobbying for bicycle helmets on these...

buying a ebike battery from germany do i pay vat/tax

In the EU you pay the VAT of the country you buy the product in. Back in the day it used to be a good idea to buy in countries with lower VAT rates. Today all countries have a rate between 17% (Luxembourg) and 27% (Hungary). There was a time when you could choose to pay the VAT of your country...

Disabled people, why not write to your MP about throttles

Then wouldn't that be a better bargaining starting point, a class that exists I mean? Asking for tax free for disabled users and for all users ability to use on cycle paths - they are limited to the same speed as pedelecs in the first place. All e-bikes need to be insured and disabled people...

    Trigger's Broom

There is the new security thing the Germans are working on which prevents changing from original mount parts. Surely if I want to use superior parts on an old frame the resulting product will be better than the original. That is what my daily ride is telling me anyway. Found the link...

Ebay seller ' Electric Bike Conversions ' seem to be doing well :)

Yeah more like ten extra kilos and that must surely mess up braking.

Cadence Sensor, Torque Sensor or Throttle?

PAS because it is all I have and it is legal. I would like to try a torque sensor bike one day because I have an open mind but I think the torque simulation controller from BMSBattery might do the trick as well.

    Cycle Mirror

"The bars seem awfully low relative to my eye line so I imagine the mirror will have to be high and angled back to get a decent view." You just glance down at it from time to time. Don't let us catch you riding hands free to do your eye liner! ;)
