    Criminal cyclists......or cycling criminals?

If I may, that would be "delinquent" not criminal. We have left the days when you (England) deported starving children to Australia because they had stolen an apple or a loaf of bread far behind us now. Criminal cyclists are the ones who run down little old ladies or babies in prams...

    Cyclomatic

Look at the reviews of bikes on the Decathlon web site. They sell many thousands of cheap bikes too, some are badly built and the people who buy a lemon are more inclined to write a review than those who are happily riding a bike without problems.

    ebike mid-drive kit without throttle?

All kits (hubs as well) I have seen come with a throttle, you don't need to mount it. If the UK suppliers have configured their kit to need one ask them to reconfigure without it. The other solution is to ask them to lend you a programming cable so that you can do it yourself.

    CENTINEL WHEEL -kickstarter

Don't you think that it belongs in a full suspension MB? I can't imagine having 6+ kg in my back wheel on the roads I ride on, vibration = constant supervision and tightening of nuts and bolts... They can't fit much battery density in there and with 24 V the range will be much less than 55 km...

    CENTINEL WHEEL -kickstarter

Optional wireless throttle. It has two motors, that makes it illegal on the paper and it is 2 X 180 W or 360 W nominative which makes it illegal.

    Battery issue !!!

OK so it is an issue of hitting max Amps a little too often. I am pretty set on the GSMoon for my next build but will be running it restricted to 25 kph and 18 Amp peak. My current vote is for a shrink wrap Li-ion 20 A battery pack in a pannier bag.

Sorry folks - another newbie looking for some guidance !

Frame lock and 140 cm plug in chain. The chain fits in a large sized tool bottle for carrying on the bike when no panier is available.

    CENTINEL WHEEL -kickstarter

I may buy a 67€ one just for the bike i.e. use as a small cheap tablet computer never as a phone. My current 7" tablet would look a little bit silly on the handlebars... Back to the wheel: 24 V, 26", 6 kg in the wheel are three no-no's for me (that would be non, non, non in French  )

£249 bike (price at halfords) + £502 motor kit (ciclotek* may charge him less, they have a reseller program) = less than £750 in costs What he is doing wrong: "Wing eBikes have developed a system that allows the user to swap between two modes depending on whether you are on-road or off-road, "...

If you are building to German standards there is no way you can build a new bespoke bike for under 1330 € and make a living. Sure you can put a GSM motor kit on a brand new Decathlon bike and sell it for £995 but it will still have crappy tyres and brakes far from German standards. As soon as...

What is the use of a bike you can't ride on the road? I am interested in building a means of transport. So it has to be road legal.

Any info on the B'Twin BeBike 900

Do you/can you pedal? My record is 100 km but I was putting in quite a bit of effort and only using assistance levels of 1 and 2. Without getting all hot and sweaty on the flat you can get 65 km from a 10.4 A battery.

Anyone got a Raleigh Motus ?

    1. there will always be someone to put new cells in the existing battery case it will cost less and by that time even provide more energy 2. about three years if you have to charge every day, how far is your commute?
