    Where Do You Live V2.0

Your in now, riding on Bayly Street. The updating is restricted to editors since if open to all, the entries could be vandalised by anyone. You could end up in mid Atlantic. :) Map Link .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I'd have posted an agree but for the last comment. It's legitimate to complain about another's governance when they are guilty of as much bullying and interference with everybody else as the USA is. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Surely that is democracy, the majority of voters represented with all those parties taking part in governance? Better than the USA with two parties both buying their way into power. .

    Dani from Granada (Spain)

Hi Dani, welcome to the forum. Seems you've already made yourself into an e-bike veteran by avoiding buying an e-bike from BH or Orbea. .

How Best to Tackle Hills on a Longer Ride?

Not really. Woosh quoted for an 8% gradient which as far as I'm concerned is only just starting to be a hill. My advice and no doubt other's was for a range of hills. No-one is going to be flying up 14% to 25% hills at around 15mph, Big Bear motor or not. .

How Best to Tackle Hills on a Longer Ride?

No, you'll need to charge down, and how much is determined by your pedalling. As you go into the hill the bike will slow and your pedal rotation rate (cadence) will slow. Keep it at normal levels like at least 60 rotations per minute by changing down so you can help the motor effectively. Use...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No not expensive lifelong sentences but moderate sentences which work. No more expensive prisons and no prison warders. Just double electrically fenced compounds with basic shelter supplied with the basics, the raw foods, fuel, cooking and sewage facilities and let the inmates work it out...

    New London Low Emission Zone

Now you are really struggling, refrigeration plants! :D Of course all i.c. vehicles are a problem, but that isn't what I'm posting about. I'm posting about the most effective solution, and that is emphatically dealing with the vast number of cars, compared to the relatively very small number...

Question abt. Lithium ion battery shelf life before purchase

This varies considerably since it depends on several usage factors and the battery quality: Frequently completely emptying a battery shortens life.* Too frequently topping up to full shortens life.* High discharge rate by a powerful motor shortens life. In summary using a top quality...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Yes there's the old school tie type of corruption, but as you show with your tube example, it's at other levels too. In the construction industry here it's in layers just like that in Arab countries. One might have to bribe at two or three levels before getting an order. .

Question abt. Lithium ion battery shelf life before purchase

A 2 year battery warranty is the norm for good quality e-bikes, and that dates from the day of purchase. Experience shows that they don't lose a lot of capacity during initial storage, that mainly happens once the battery is in full use. The only precise way to measure exact capacity is to...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Then you haven't been dealing with the construction industry here to any extent. Our large companies in other industries are often involved too, both BAE and Rolls Royce aero engines have been caught out. Of course the fact is that if one wants to sell to a corrupt country it's unavoidable...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Everywhere has a huge corruption problem, including the UK. As I posted very recently, I spent my last 17 working years coping with it here. It's universal human nature to look for opportunities to make money and some will always succumb to temptation. .

I wouldn't worry about that, some of today's drivers will stack them anyway, albeit unintentionally. .

True, but generics are often sold at rip-off prices to the NHS. We have some of the highest drug prices in the world. Tillson is right, the NHS is appallingly inefficient in very many ways. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Here as well of course. You might be even more shocked to realise that in these high productivity outfits each cow's output is automatically measured and they are put down after no more than three working years. Some outfits for maximum yield kill them at two milking years. Intrinsically...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That's not the way it's done in the USA, their milk couldn't be as cheap if it was. Their vast herds of thousands of milking cattle never see a field, they are in rows in pens indoors in huge barns and fed from maize and soya derived food in troughs. That way there's almost no handling and no...

    New London Low Emission Zone

It's true that the Congestion Zone charge has become as much about revenue as restriction, but that hasn't been the discussion subject. That's the pollution control zones and they are about reducing the pollution which is not only a big problem in many areas but could also land the UK large...
