    Electric walking bike

Yes, definitely not legal here in the UK, nor in much of Europe too, though some countries are relaxed about such usage. The weight surprised me though, 50 kilos! Little wonder it was invented in a flat country. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Boris Johnson is banking on this not happening, stressing that his resignation is not a leadership challenge. He knows that the party wouldn't choose him to lead at present and he's also lost a lot of national support. It's too soon after the fiasco of his foreign secretaryship, and the...

Remember, insurance premiums carry a purchase tax, more income for the exchequer and good reason to insist on insurance for everything. .

    World's lightest electric road bike 2019 ?

The basis Vivax with the smaller battery weighs 1.8 kgs. so what they say is possible with a bike weighing 7.9 kgs. Obviously short range though with such a small battery, and despite all their protestations it's a very low powered system, less than a half of what we are used to with e-bikes. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

This ship sailed a long time ago, of course our politicians cannot be trusted. They've surely shown that many times. As you remarked, the people had no say in our future sovereignty being signed away and were never even informed what the Maastricht Treaty really meant. Personally I was in...

And we'll still have to import EU crop pickers. The class of Britons who might normally do this kind of work live on McDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken, even fishing out the gherkin from burgers, so I assume they are allergic to vegetables. .

Now here's a couple of thoughts about the World Cup. It's now become a European Cup competition since there are no teams left from elsewhere. And if Russia lose to Croatia, it will be an EU Cup competition with only EU teams left in contention. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think electoral convenience would dictate the approach I suspect. Levelling with the public would have provoked a furious reaction from the Brexiters, making it impossible to call the last election. Much easier to risk upsetting remainers with a fierce Brexit pretence, since they knew they'd...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I honestly wonder if we've been living through a charade. Faced with a referendum result the government didn't want, it may have been decided at the outset that we weren't going to truly leave but would have to go through a convincing pretence. Hence Theresa May's insistent "Brexit means...

How to replace an e-bike tube without removing the wheel.

60 to 65 lbs will be no problem, I run my Schwalbe tyres at that sort of level, and it's well within the tube spec. In any case the tube maximum isn't a critical thing, being above the limit by 10 lbs or so wouldn't precipitate a sudden loss of pressure. It would just mean tyre pumping time...

Understood, it's the permeability of the rubber used. A compromise as always, this time between flexibility and gradual air leakage. Run that tube at 100 lbs and it would need frequent topping up. .

1 x bar is 14.5038 lbs per square inch, it's the normal atmospheric pressure, hence barometric pressure. So your 5 bar is 73 lbs per square inch. Tube pressure isn't critical though, it's tyre pressure that counts. .

The Grey Flash was the machine the late John Surtees started his racing career with, the only man ever become both Motorcycle World Champion and F1 world Champion. He was actually going round the circuits even before that as the passenger to his Dad, sidecar racer Jack Surtees. Here's Jack...

I liked that Matchless engine better, had one in a Brough Superior motorbike when I was in my teens, long before laws stopped teenagers riding such beasts, and even before there were consumer m/c helmets! .

True, that's probably because the ability to delete a thread gives the power to delete any other's posts made in it. And of course that would never do. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

It's clear that as many as half a billion EU citizens don't agree, so the problem has to be solved. My preference is freedom of movement for betterment, but that clearly isn't what is happening. Instead we have a variety of cruel situations within the EU, stopping onward movement, closing...

It isn't, but if that had been done at the outset, the flow would have been nipped in the bud. And that means nearly all those who suffered a terrible death by drowning or dehydration would still be alive today. Not acting isn't an option, we can't let the Middle East and Africa just continue...

Follow the domino logic. All Italy has to do it to complete the chain by shipping them back to the African coast and dumping on the beaches they set out from. Harsh, but it would quickly stop the flow once it dawned that crossing would only mean being returned. .
