    Brexit, for once some facts.

Amusingly he says the EU is stealing "our fish". I wasn't aware sea fish had nationalities, I thought they just swam to wherever it suited them. .

Can you software limit a bafang motor to 250w to make it road legal?

I've owned both systems and ridden a number of others so appreciate the advantages either way. Neither are wrong as you put it, they just suit different people with different requirements. Personally I hate a sudden cutoff at circa 15 mph and I'm very far from alone in that in this forum...

has d8veh left this time for good?

While that is also true Rob, new members can also be difficult. Of those last three self requested exclusions, two were new members who had only been in a very short while. Both wanted changes in the forum to suit them and got the hump when they realised it wasn't going to happen. That again...

    What does % Support mean?

Not necessarily, the maximum the motor and controller can give is the limiting factor. It will give 300% up to the motor's limit, but not beyond. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Given the rest of time and the whole of space itself, North Korea will still not give up nuclear weapons in exchange for the USA just removing the threat of them from South Korea. Weird they might be, but daft they aren't. .

    Tyre pressure query

No problem to do this, I often have with a free rolling front tyre and a Marathon Plus rear to minimise puncture chances there. As for pressure, best not to go below the makers minimum to avoid problems. .

When riding on the footpath should I.....

It's necessary to know the law before quoting it as an absolute. The Highway Code isn't law and that excludes the whole story. Cyclists can ride on the pavement in the circumstances I described, details quoted below. Read right through to the end, showing this still applies: "On 1st August...

Highly doubtful Rob, I've only ever known two expelled by Admin and that was after previous warnings. The last three departures with membership deleted were each specifically requested by the ex members following a tantrum, these exclusions were not wanted by admin. .

When riding on the footpath should I.....

That sums it up, A adult can ride cycle on a pavement if there is a genuine fear of traffic as there might well be on that main road. But the legal ruling is that they must always ride with care and give pedestrians priority. If they don't, an offence is committed. .

We don't know this time, the last couple of times he left he said why. However, it usually follows a spat with another member and his last post this time was yet another dispute occasion. It has to be acknowledged that he is often very forthright with others but hates them being as forthright...

Kalkhoff impulse vs bosch active line plus

The Impulse 1 was quite a good motor and gave very little trouble. It actually isn't Kalkhoff's, it's the Daum motor which was Germany's first crank unit, long before the Bosch. Kalkhoff adopted it for their bikes and gave it the Impulse name. It was later when competing with Bosch that the...

Tyre width has narrow can you go?

In which case you'd be able to have small section tyres and their advantages on most e-bikes. I say most since some have platform mounted contacts, pressure or blade type, and the battery bouncing over bumpy roads can cause contact burn and unreliable connections. That's shown by the burnt...

When riding on the footpath should I.....

Of course one shouldn't cycle on a footpath. On shared use footpaths it depends on the width and provision, most are quite narrow so it's best then to always ride with the traffic flow alongside since that is what pedestrians will most expect. As for what is happening to people now, I believe...
