has d8veh left this time for good?

He did a couple of times quite late in it. What I could never understand was why he and other objectors posted objections about it in the e-biking forums, something the Brexit thread contributors never did. That's as irrational as deliberately eating a disliked food. And leaving Pedelecs over...

    Tyre pressure query

That's odd, it's an ordinary small file *.jpg. I've reinserted it with a rename to see if that works for you. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I forecast this a long time ago in here. Although Europe's aircraft maker, Airbus is and always has been essentially French in large aircraft design and business policy. Given France's high unemployment, the UK leaving the EU presents them with a golden opportunity to gain several tens of...

Yes, they are what I'd call semi-solids. As shown here: .

Tesla - another one catches fire

Seems you'd like my Suzuki SX4 SZ5, a bit more car like than the Vitara but all the same off road capability. Latest version is the S-Cross SZ5 which comes with a panoramic roof, but the latest grill is horribly American in my eyes. Link Here's my ones restrained grill. .

Tesla - another one catches fire

That's exactly my feelings too, so the Leaf is a compromise. I'd rather it was 6" shorter and an inch or two narrower, but it will just fit in my garage with room to plug in. Next years Leaf model will be interesting with its 63 kWh battery, there's rumours it will be an SUV. .

Tesla - another one catches fire

Indeed, for most of my driving life one wouldn't do it for me. Now though, their range increases and my shortening journeys have met up to make a sensible partnership. Two things I'm looking forward to in particular: Silence when stationary in our heavy south-east traffic, far better than...

has d8veh left this time for good?

Not my short term memory failure but yours, that wasn't d8veh. Dave did not announced his departure this time. His last post that I remember was a spat with another member. Deleted member 22539 was someone else who insulted me in that thread, someone who dealt it out but couldn't take it...

    Austria joins th e-bike boom

We're used to the idea of e-bikes selling in vast quantities in The Netherlands and Germany, but now Austria has reached almost 20% of all bicycles sold being e-bikes and their e-MTB market is booming as well. KTM there are building a new factory to replace the old one and aim for 2019 sales to...

Tesla - another one catches fire

No, as with so many things, it's horses for courses. Driving in London at low speeds could be done in a Shelby Cobra if one wants to look a pratt. It's far better in every way in a decent e-car. .

This is only what a number of UK based companies are already doing in mainland EU countries. This wisdom is a two way street. .

has d8veh left this time for good?

It might seem so, but his near six month absence from ES from 13th December 2017 to now, 21st June 2018 with only a single days visit on 7th June isn't promising, since he used to be a major contributor there. Possibly he's making a major change to his life, rather than it being solely...

has d8veh left this time for good?

D8veh did leave twice before but both times he announced his departure. This time he didn't so I wasn't sure whether he'd left or not, but he last posted here 25th May. Having last posted on Endless Sphere on 13th December it seemed he had vanished, but he has posted since on Endless Sphere...

    AA renewal.

Agree on today's catalyst models disadvantage, this was pre 1991 and keeping that Cavalier 2 litre SRI spinning with revs in the upper range blowing through it was fine. It was on two motorways at 90/95 mph cruising. As a fully qualified motor mechanic I do have a pretty good idea what I'm...

BionX to resume production in Europe

It depends on how much the Germans improve the unit, something that's more likely to happen once they hold the reins. There was a time years ago when it was excellent and members imported them direct, but somehow they lost their way when they introduced all the different versions from 250 watts...

More fully electric buses for London

Those were due to the idiocy and crackpot schemes of Boris Johnson when Mayor of London, and of course those on the fringe who voted him in. Those days are over and progrss is much more rapid now. .

More fully electric buses for London

Yes I've read all the figures. They show a €90,000 advantage over a diesel bus over 8 years, due to running on the much lower cost electricity. Of course I wouldn't buy the BYD car here, too expensive and the spec not good enough compared with our home offerings. It's ok in the Chinese market...
