Unfit, overweight, bad knees, no hair but own teeth!

I have lost 4 kg in the two months / 875 kilometres that my bike has been on the road. With riding style between putting in lots of effort (because I can) to very little effort because need to go somewhere and be fresh as a daisy when I get there. tuning my bike for more speed

I often ride at +20 mph on my pedelec, it cuts out at around 16.75 mph (15.5 +10% tolerance) and I provide the extra Watts to take it up to that speed on the flat. That is just fine around town but I would like 45 kph assist on the open road, I would like to be able to ride up hills at 20-25...

    Pedelec Insurance Options Please

Sorry Jonathan https://www.macif.fr/web/site/offres/contrat_habitation_1 only in French from what I see. Yes I am "on the continent" and as it is a mutuality I am not sure that they insure clients outside of France, even though new EU regulations allow it. This option is not the same as...

KTM Terramo Rohloff Bafang 36v500w BBS02 Complete

My PAS cuts off the motor in under a second. I don't have a throttle so no risk it will stick open. I am on a bicycle going bicycle speeds, not in a F1 car where half a second delay is death or grievous bodily harm. I also have a Magura hydraulic on the front and in a panic situation pulling...

    Pedelec Insurance Options Please

It is under my house insurance and is an option: Leisure and sporting material in any place and bicycle is a sub option (a pedelec being a bicycle, the lady checked) with value up to 30,490€ which should cover most models... Covered are fire, theft or accident etc. with franchises more or less...

    My new project(s)

DAILY UPDATE :D I measured the frame against my other bike and it is much larger than my current "medium" mens frame, about 7-9 cm longer and the same height except once on the 28" wheels it will be over 2" higher. Now to decide how to proceed... I think this is going the direction...

    Changing my pedals

I found a new crank arm (5€) to replace the one with stripped thread today and am just about to go down the pedal removal route myself. I haven't yet decided between the new large platform ones or folders - for the train, parking at the bottom of the stairs...

    E-Ram

I really like the battery and its plug. Would slip nicely into a pannier or could be bungied onto the rack. Just missing a carry handle or a couple of rings for a shoulder strap.

    New Gtech ebike

Oh look at where the battery is, see how she keeps avoiding it with her knees? Makes me think that putting the bottle battery on the top bar of my womens Riverside 3 is pretty damned low and out of the way compared! The marketing speak is aimed directly at the houswife, simple explanations for...

Unfit, overweight, bad knees, no hair but own teeth!

Nope, I said that there is a climb 4.8 km long in my usual 11 km ride to Hendaye. The slope is 4% average on the way there and there are bits which are 5% average on the way back. The road profile for that ride is in my kit review thread.
