    DIY controller housing?

My KT is in a Alpkit frame/top tube under slung bag and gets warm esp in summer and like AK mentioned suffers thermal cut out so to prevent this I have fitted a pair of 5v micro fans on an additional finned heat sink and run the fans off a separate 2p 1s battery I welded with a 1s bms.

    Attitudes of non-ebikers

I still call a pedal bike a push bike but now this talk has lead to more thought and from now on I'm calling mine electric push bikes :p.

    Yosepower hub kits.

Practical placement only apllies if your frame has somewhere suitable to secure it, if space allows.

    Yosepower hub kits.

I'm not sure now but think my lcd3 is v3 from 2016 or 17, I expect most newer models use the % mode. Firmware version is printed on the underside of the unit or printed on the top of the instruction leaflet. BMSB sell one for $3 that might fit it or as always try Woosh bikes as they sometimes...

    Attitudes of non-ebikers

Also as Flecc say's if out and someone judges you simply just reply 'I not cycling', 'I'm out riding my e- bike'. Then if they don't get it tell them to go and find out the difference.

    Attitudes of non-ebikers

Call it what it is a pedal bike my dad used to just call them push bikes a term from very early days when that was what they were. And an electric bike simply as an e-bike, saying I have a'pedelec' or an 'epac' will flummox most peeps.

You can use the GSM but buy the motor without controller an option on the Woosh mid drive page.

Yose Power 350w rear drive - Kit review and stuttering fault

In the long run if you benefit from the riding and enjoy it then money saved is a plus as long as you can stay safe on the road. 2k saved is a holiday, a nice treat or down payment on the mortgage for an earlier retirement or mortgage free living. 45min ride is a good work out for the...

Yose Power 350w rear drive - Kit review and stuttering fault

Depends on the quality of the cells inside, being one from the big four doesn't mean they will do the 500 cycles if they are crappy 4 or 5a cells, for longevity a 10a rated cell will handle stress and higher discharge better. Fast charging is another factor that will reduce life a 2a charger...

    LCD S866 + Brainpower controller

Yes you only have the 8 wires on the motor lead and you don't have a hall plug with the white wire that goes to the controller ? It isn't really possible to add internal speed (hall) sensor to a hub but you can add a separate external wheel speed sensor if a speed wire can be picked up from the...

Yose Power 350w rear drive - Kit review and stuttering fault

Partly, yes I do get more power from my 48v Yose but also the same applies to my KT/Bafang CST @36v with 17a controller. My Bafang I use my ailing 29E batteries which are hopeless above PAS 2 for local use, still get 20 miles in pas 2 but only about 12 if I use PAS 3 and only on a fully...

    Halfords launch e-bike with Alexa

I trust what you say SW as I don't use apping or smart phones. Generally I have a great mistrust for all things techy and their capabilities.. The only thing I use a lot is this machine I type on.

Yose Power 350w rear drive - Kit review and stuttering fault

Higher ambient temps does affect range with an increase 10 - 20% I reckon. Using PAS 4 on the flat is wasteful of battery energy stick to 1 or 2 on the flats saving the other higher assists for inclines/hills then straight back to 1 or 2. Amps and high assist speed use more range so I usually...

    Halfords launch e-bike with Alexa

Reading the rest of the replies and realising this Alexa thing is something to do with the TAX dodging Amazon, as they have to pay Clarkson and his fools my guestimate for a 2k is going to be woeful and only the few who throw money at Apples and I-phones may be tempted. Myself I just like the...

    PSWPower after sales service?

If the TSDZ @48V is anything like my Yose hub @48V then in assist 5 it should make hills easy. Albeit my Yose can do 20a and the few hill climbs around me 10 -17% for about 500yds I can do at between 7.5 - 10mph with little more then gentle pedalling, the TSDZ should give more as it is torque...

    Yosepower hub kits.

Same size as the BMSB S12S certainly a monster controller and probably with reason. As we know the dual voltage KT's are quite petit compared to the T/S12S, though one of my KT's suffers with thermal cut out and get's very warm as ambient temp rises. The larger case adds extra heat sink. 20a...

    Front Hub Conversion

d8veh introduced the forum to ytw06 as he did with many other items (d8evh was hardcore when it came to kit bits), I think he tried his at 48v with no issues but being a small hub only went to about 12 amps using a KT reducing the amps via the C parameters.
