    Brexit, for once some facts.

Just heard an amusing snippet today about the small convoy of advertising trucks carrying "immigrants go home" messages that were running around the streets a while ago. Two were driven by a Hungarian and an Australian and both have gone home since! .

Having tried to find some interest in watching cricket, American football, basketball and athletics, I can understand why a trend in that direction is justified with sports. .

A fee seems reasonable, it must cost a bit to administer the identity checking, production and issuing of visas. They shouldn't have to bear that cost for those not members of the club so not contributing. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Those who feel a good Brexit option is to drop out to World Trade Organisation rules would do well to listen to the following program on the BBC i-player. All is not well with the WTO and signs are it could get much worse: Program Link .

    Who's Brave Enough...

All day long on a regular daily basis in the same spot, no way, it would go. But for shorter periods I've never lost one in my London borough, despite our record breaking bike theft reputation. I even gave up lugging around a D lock just using a mediocre cable lock for years. On one occasion...

The Last Wisper Sneak Preview of the year. 12kg Road Bike

Of course it isn't easy and it's a small market. But those with the cash to spare can fall victim to the allure of such a product. It's chiefly the electric aspect that is most likely to make an ex roadie nervous, so being reassured by a brand's long experience in that area could make the...

There is a strong counter argument though. Established road bike brands know little or nothing about e-bikes, while Wisper are highly experienced in this area. Older roadies going electric will want to be reassured more about the electrical aspect than the bicycle side they already know well. .

I agree that accepting a form of simple registration (probably insurance too) is the best way forward to achieve change. It's best in such a campaign to be ready for the counter arguments you might get raised against you: First is that the Speed pedelec class hasn't proved popular, only...

As per my previous post, the implication is that this will mean registration and all that implies, since 25kph / 15.5 mph / 1000 watts is where registration of motor vehicles starts at. You may be aware that some while ago the European Parliament discussed the power limit of EAPCs for similar...

Three problems militating against a higher assist speed though. First it will always be difficult for legislators to accept those who ride road bikes need assistance, seeing the speeds that these are commonly ridden at. Their aim is to get more regular utility cycling instead of car use...
