your old motor is sensorless with internal speed sensor. you can replace the broken pedal sensor with the KT left side sensor.

you need similar motor with 6-pin plug. The trouble is, some motor has 1 magnet, some have 6 for the speed sensor. There is no way of knowing until you connect up the motor. What's wrong with the old motor? may be worth repairing.
