    36v 250watt - 48v 250watt can I?

The 250w 8fun will start melting at 48v x 30a, asking it to handle 1440w in pas 5 or using throttle will kill it. 17a or 20a controller would be good and give very good torque, 816/960w controller output and about 650/780w at the wheel, if using throttle or pas 5. Limit the speed as suggested...

    36v 250watt - 48v 250watt can I?

Seeing K' s reply makes sense I could only see them being 2600mah cells. If they were magenta/red with a shade of blue ring on the v+ end then most likely they are SANYO 2600mah 5a cells, they look like no name cells but have a very feint marking on the side that needs good light and a...

Power has been cutting out for a few seconds when going up hill

Do you use pas ? The fact the cut out happened using throttle suggests a battery issue and it can't handle the instant load, could be a weak cell string or the cells in general doesn't like it. Have you tried C5 setting, adjusting it lower and see what happens. There should be appoint at...

    36v 250watt - 48v 250watt can I?

30amp may well be too much for a 250w hub ( which one is it do you know)? Also the battery will it be able to deliver higher amp load asked of it (battery spec and cells used inside)? LCD3 can limit controller amps by -5a max each , though newer models I believe use a percentage rate now...

Not owned a bike for 12 years, lots of questions before I buy....

Woosh is mail order only unless of course you can visit there premises in Southend, as mentioned back up/ CS is superb. Trying/test riding a few differing types with drive motor, if you are not sure of bike to buy which kind of rules out Woosh. Buying unseen ? If you don't like or it doesn't...

Which crank motor to choose? And is Active Plus better than STEPS E6000?

You probably should have had the motor changed under warranty. My brother has just got a Willier commuting bike with E6000 & added Badass4 for s pedelecs speeds and is very pleased with it so far, it's quieter then his Kalkhoff Endeavour s- pedelecs Bosch active line motor.

    Please help. Jangling from motor.

If there was something a miss and rattling inside the planetary gears etc would soon seize if they were in that side of the hub. Your description sounds electrical as it only happens with power, this in turn appears to be a mechanical sound. If the hub is quite with no power then I would say...

    Q128 motor strip down

Leaving the hub built in the wheel offers more leverage with a homemade leverage tool, some times it just requires a slightly long handle to exert the required opening force or a sharp tap using a heavy club hammer. Once it moves if only 1/8th turn, undoing is easy then.

Power has been cutting out for a few seconds when going up hill

The likely hood is the battery as AK mentioned isn't up to delivering the required high load needed to see 900+w. For this the cells need to be v.good rated ones of at least 10a, the best buck for your money for a 10a rated cell is a Panasonic PF.

Power has been cutting out for a few seconds when going up hill

C5 only allows 5a max reduction, each # from 10 to 00 is 0.5a reduction and not a % one. LCD only need 5v so unless power is completely off it will still function. Another factor could be wiring if you have used incorrect awg spec wiring, if too thin will cause a bottle neck and not be able...

Power has been cutting out for a few seconds when going up hill

You will see a resting voltage, 49v as an example when you hit an incline and ask for power in a higher pas level take note of the voltage reading, if it collapse /sags heavily say 3 - 4v then the cells used within will be rubbish ones. Once you are riding on level ground or down hill the...

    Solar bike.

I came across this bike today on my 100 mile ride. The rider (can't remember his real name) a non native uses the name solar cyclist on facebook. Base bike is a Dahon with an array of wiring as can be seen, as soon as I saw it for some reason the word 'Cwah' came to mind . The guy was...

Saggy battery -Oxygen S- Cross CB

Most likely it is 5p 10s so 50 cells. Buying a replacement from Oxygen will most likely give you the same or similar cells, with Jimmy he can offer you pucker cells like the superb Panasonic GA or Samsung 30Q. GA for more wh/range & 30Q for higher amp draw though GA is no mug of a cell and is...
