    Running 48v parallel with 52v???

Doesn't surprise me, with a 250/500w geared hub and a 17 or 20a controller pas 3 you would see about 170 - 240w.so range would be better.

Newbie looking for a BBS02 kit

The only real complaint on here about Eclipse is that contact is email only. After sales and CS appear to be quite good though email response isn't always quick, I believe this is down to being a small team with this retailer.

    zipper zi not working

White wire is the signal wire, may be it was cut to comply with throttle law and the owner didn't understand the law. When you say 'battery died'. Do you mean power stopped and did not come on, handle bar display shut off or bike just didn't work under pas.

Woman fighting for life after 'e-bike' hit-and-run in east London

The speculation is the rider ran a red light, time will tell and will be a major factor in any court case. This is a bit of a bug bear with me as why do cyclists/riders to this !!! Today riding out of Ovingdean out Brighton & Hove way, I stopped at red lights a busy 4 way junction this...

Project: Carrera Kraken conversion with BBSHD

No, only near the end of the charge 41.5v and above. The Speedict/Neptune allows you to configure/programme the balancing voltage lower. With Lipo the balance charger uses the sense/jst wire to monitor the cell voltage, it is the balance charger that reduces the amp charging rate to balance...

    Wisper 806 torque dead

Not only Wisper go the extra mile with CS & customers, I know Woosh/Hatti is the same and most likely Volt bikes as well just to name three retailers who support Pedelecs.

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

Don't leave because of one issue and any bad feeling felt or posted as the forum and members will move on, most criticism will be forgotten and we all move on. Deleting your account won't remove any posts as it means deleting the whole thread and other users input which is censorship and that...

    Running 48v parallel with 52v???

Hello Tim, Yes as P.C has said they need to be same voltage rating to parallel other wise you will almost certainly damage the 13s bms and possibly the controller, the power surge by way of amps/heat flow will be bad news and could even melt the wiring. When/ if you get a smaller hub 350/500w...

    Wisper 806 torque dead

Cutting out could be many things battery fault or even a sensor fault. Could be a controller issue but that is only an assumption, the torque has an unusual drive system of torque and cadence sensor so may also be an issue there. Wisper will in due course sort it out via the dealer but these...

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

Ebikes are a bit unusual and when they don't work users want an instant reason why and a quick fix , this is not easy to answer and requires knowledge of electrics and diagnosis to do basic checks. If it is apart then this needs sourcing/supplying from manufacturer/importer to dealer then...

Woman fighting for life after 'e-bike' hit-and-run in east London

Sadly we blatantly hear and see exploits like this from SW on here , one day it may be his fault when he hits and maims a pedestrian. Expecting people to move out of the way is not going to always happen when foot traffic mixes with fast bikes whether powered or not, no matter how good anyone...

Woman fighting for life after 'e-bike' hit-and-run in east London

Sadly this appalling accident is going to put ebikes/speed in the spot light when in fact neither of them have little to do with the cause of the incident. By the sounds of things the rider went through a red light not obeying traffic signals and the law, the underlying cause. Some riders I...

Hello from South Cambs - New to e-bikes

With a laden bike and heavier battery weight of 27ah or more 10wh/per mile will be a more meaning full calc, if you are super fit and have a natural high cadence then a lower wh/mile will be possible.

    Yosepower hub kits.

Cutting soldering cables is a last resort or only necessary for a repair and can leave an untidy result in my view sep with julets and muil wires. Easier alternatives are available and saves potentially messing up nice kit , also is time consuming In buying a 48v dual volt controller which will...

Advantage of only charging to 90% is all but lost unless the bms is programmable, cells over time will loose balance.
