    Brexit, for once some facts.

The only way I'd concede to that is if there is a preset widely agreed margin for victory, plus an overseeing body to publically discipline the officially appointed liars. These are things that should have existed last time and their absence made the result invalid. Hence the expressions of...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think the crunch for the UK is services. The EU have always been resolute that outsiders cannot have access to provide services, and that services can logically only come with free movement of people. Since the UK is so dependent on our services we will ultimately have no option but to...

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

Bicycle sales in the EU averaged some 20 millions per annum over the similar period (from 2000 to about 2015). Since the EU made/assembled around 12 millions average, that leaves 8 millions from overseas sources. That latter figure will be boosted by how many of the EU made bikes are exported...

Is this the begining of the rise of the Machines?

Since I'm never going to be seen in a McDonalds these days I didn't know they had such things. Hopefully their imitation of food will be better than the staff's version. Many years ago when working with errant kids on a Home Office/Police befriending scheme, the kids brainwashed attachment to...

    Maintenance Advised...

A Sparta problem, the earlier Ion M-gear had to have a reset at a dealers even if only the rear wheel was removed for a tube change etc. I won't buy anything with this sort of nuisance software, rules out a number of cars for me. .

    Urban Mover overloaded with spares!

I doubt there's any chance of a reply Paul. On November 7 2011 Ultra Motor Ltd. filed for administration in the UK. Mark's last Ultra Motor posts in the pedelecs forum were in that month. .

That makes it pointless charging, the admin costs are miniscule. It's the medical costs that are high and which have to be enormously increased to give a prompt A & E service to all walk in patients. A deterrent is very obviously needed given the obvious large scale abuse of the system that's...

I've made a similar suggestion in here previously, for a higher £50, but not for those triage deem an genuine A & E emergency. That would be a big deterrent to the very minor injury time wasters. P.S. I see Tillson has said similar, but the charge does need to be high enough to be a deterrent. .

How does that rack work? No visible means of support

I always avoid the trailer if it's possible on the bike, much less drag and I feel it's safer, especially on the smaller wheel bike where the load is very low:

Is this the begining of the rise of the Machines?

Maybe not, I can easily envisage passengers snarling at what their driverless car is doing or the route it's taking. People frequently yell at TVs and I've on occasion told a supermarket self checkout to shut up when it's made an irritatingly unnecessary interjection. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

In a sense we can, every A & E suffers an extraordinary number of time wasters. Just watch the A & E programs on TV and see the queues in the waiting rooms, many having something minimal wrong, a minor cut, splinter, sprain etc., all things that can be easily dealt with at home. The scale of...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

My mother died in identical circumstances, but not in hospital. When they couldn't control the fluid buildup any more they sent her home in an ambulance to eventually die there. There was no plan, we were eventually fortunate enough to find a Locum one evening who administered the large...

How does that rack work? No visible means of support

I hate these style based minimal racks. A proper bike rack takes 25 kilos, some of the smaller ones 10 kilos, but I doubt that would be able to take even that. Some waterproofs ok, but unlikely to be good enough for a pair of large panniers full of shopping. .
