will the lcd 3 work with 48v? and 48v with yose/elife shop 350w moter

Lcd3 works with 48v, you will see the watts increase on the display up to about 820w in pas 5. Wheel speed (rpm) will increase by 25% so expect the yose hub to be about 330 -350rpm. The winding (rpm) is a bit vague on the details but I did see on Elifeshop (ebay) speeds of 270/280rpm quoted and...

    Advice please

Are you keeping the refund from Wiggle ? My conscience wouldn't le me without speaking to them first. I have a Wiggle order coming today as Eddie mentioned they still use RM, who have emailed me to say it will be out for delivery today. I think Hermes are used for priority next day delivery...

A rare piece of history - Swizzbee

 Swizzbee is off the road for now age is catching up with her a bit now :(, but hope to get her going again. The left hand side internal hub mechanism has four pawls that catch when the belt drives the bike (and three for the cassette rh side), unfortunately the pawl spring lhs which is...

Even rear wards air will cool the sink as airflow will probably cause a little unstable air behind you.

    Single speed ebike build

I got a small tube of silicone thermal paste off ebay for about a £1.50, smear it all over and plonk the heat sink on it agitating the heat sink for adhesion. When you ride next the heat from the controller aids the adhesion.

    Site update

W10 keeps asking for cookie accept. One thing I think may have improved is the Green pop up box that kept asking me to choose my ideal ebike. I like the new fresher view, not overly different but a nice change.

UK - legality of thumb-throttles in DIY conversions

Yes correct. P4 #1 C4 #0 = Throttle only active after pedal/crank movement, with KT it is about 1/8 - 1/4 turn. Stop pedalling no throttle, obviously pas has to be fitted and operational.

UK - legality of thumb-throttles in DIY conversions

The reason for it is in the title of pedelecs, they are pedal assisted electric bikes not throttle assisted electric bikes. Otherwise they would just be classified as scooters and licensing that goes along with them. It appears only the China kits and OEM bikes have this option.

    Single speed ebike build

Yes it should do as the heat sink will be in open air and have a bit of air flow over it when some of the plastic case is cut away, if the cut out is facing the seat tube then airflow will be more direct.

UK - legality of thumb-throttles in DIY conversions

I have recently changed my throttle settings to work after only pedal, with KT I barely need 1/8th crank turn for full throttle activation so hills not an issue. However a quick few seconds fiddle can soon have full activated throttle.

    Advice on a controller

Sine wave is quieter then Sq wave, physics not being a subject of mine I believe it is the way the signal is delivered as a smoother pulse. Don't forget the SWXO2 rpm will be 25% faster at 48v, though from recollection there aren't many Cambridge hills maybe the odd slope.

Wiggle I have no problems with, sadly it's Hermes who are the issue which is sad as it reflects badly on W.

Bunch of ebike stuff from BMS battery

When I first saw the post Twinkle came to mind straight away on this one. Not many will be suited for this kit as ideally it is suited for small wheels as it has a high speed winding. A trike is an obvious choice so maybe for a quick sale might have been an ideal sell to Twinkle. It could be...

    PSWpower 20A Sine Wave Controller

A few generic copies of Bafang hubs use 5:1 gearing ratio, Mxus is one. My Yosepower hub also uses 5:1. Aikema/ Q100/128 have higher various ratio's depending on model and rpm.
