    Government subsidize

That's why I tactfully typed UK citizens. The nationality situation there is certainly strange, with so many calling themselves British while Northern Ireland isn't in Britain or Great Britain, Not that we can speak on the UK mainland, since technically there is no such nationality of British...

And Ferrari's technical director said the same, but Amon was dogged by bad luck. Mario Andretti once joked that "if Amon became an undertaker, people would stop dying". .

Also the stupid thing is that the UK government are so tied up with Brexit that they aren't attending to issues in their own back yard like this one in N.I. Knocking heads together there and waving a big stick should be their first priority and certainly not an ignored issue. Leaving 2.8...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Definitely keeping to their standards and we will want that anyway to continue current trading. We'll just have to accept that means some ECJ jurisdiction. The Irish border solution envisaged means that a single market and customs union will in effect still exist to some degree, though not...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I'm quite sure that's true. When David Cameron did his tour of EU leaders to try to get a better deal for the UK, the way in which they all rebuffed him showed very clearly that they are fed up with the UK and our stroppy unco-operative attitudes. They aren't in a mood to make any concessions...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The EU would treat it as a hard border and probably insist that was enforced where their wider interests were involved. But no doubt those living in the RoI and NI would keep it soft for themselves and their transactions with each other. So in summary, a pragmatic border. .

That's changing what you said before, you said the British were doing that and as I've said that wasn't true. I agree home fans support their own as being the best and the British also do that, when there's been enough fans as I've shown in those earlier years. I disagree that Hamilton is the...

Which is one of the things you said that I've been disagreeing with.. Hamilton is obviously greatly appreciated by the fans, those in the UK who still follow F1, but that's now a much smaller proportion of the UK public than it once was. Soundwave made the point, many now find it a big...

Read my post again, as the part you omitted shows, I was referring to Sky News being the large media news source, so when Disney owns it they will become the source. .

Although there can be truth in that in some spheres, in F1 thats a big exaggeration. You know as well as I do how Damon Hill, Nigel Mansell, Jim Clark, Stirling Moss, John Surtees, Roy Salvadori et al have been hyped in Britain over various years. And Lewis Hamilton has hardly lacked publicity...

    Blast from the past

They certainly were, and the vibration was bad too. Worst was the BSA Winged Wheel in that respect and the PowerPak second. A 50cc single cylinder bolted directly to the bike was always going to shake things up. Any e-bike is sheer luxury in comparison. .

From the frying pan into the fire? Rupert Murdoch's impending Sky assets sale and the associated Fox and Disney deals mean that Sky News will end up owned by Disney. So one of the large traditional media news sources being produced by the largest creator of fiction in history! .

That is untrue. Two of Michael Schumacher's championships and 19 of his race wins were when driving for Beneton and that car rated third (Ford engined) and second (Renault engined) best on the grid at the time of the two championships. And in his ten years with Ferrari when he won his...

They are without question illegal for use in any area the public has access to. The fundamental in UK law is that all motorised vehicles are illegal unless specifically allowed in a law. There is no law allowing these powered scooters and the DfT has on more than one occasion said they are...

And leaving the EU cuts us out of that deal. We can bet that if we try to set up the same with Vietnam, the EU will pressurise them to refuse the same free trade deal for us. When they say we'll have to be worse off out, they mean it. .
