If you reversed the disc and it didn't work then you need to look at the sensor and rotate it 180 degrees. If the sensor currently sits under the BB try it above and see it that works though as AK mentioned gap between disc mags and sensor need to be a close as possible 1 or 2mm.

Sadly you have entered the world of dealer/warranty repair, often it is only a manufacturer exchange unit which out of warranty can prove rather expensive. One reason why I won't entertain such a bike, ok for two years then after that it appears you need deep pockets.

For ext bearings it's quite simple drill out the centre carefully with an appropriate core drill (approx 44mm) to allow magnet disc to fit over with ease, then simply secure said disc in place with epoxy or simplest to use thin cable ties. My disc's used is either 10 or 12 magnets KT disc/sensor.

For Hollowtech/GXP BB use some modifying is needed which works perfectly. I have done this on 5 or 6 bikes without any great issue.
