    TSDZ2 vs HAIBIKE XDuro NDuro

Adjusting TSD amps a bit higher and using a lower power setting the traction is likely to be better with more torque, giving less aggressive control & lower power. More torque surely is always better in slippy/muddy off road conditions to limit wheel spin then brute force power. Climbing or...

    Greenedge CS2 battery issue

With a meter not only can you check/diagnose a battery you can also confirm if the charger is faulty. Not a lot more you can do until you have some actual figures to work with.

Remaining battery capacity - from volts or display?

My meter agrees with lcd3 voltage, the meter was tested on newly charged PF & HE2 cells giving a spot on 4.2v.

    TSDZ2 vs HAIBIKE XDuro NDuro

The battery comparison is use less, they are chalk and cheese. You say TSD is uncontrollable at low speed and slippery conditions but no mention of power mode used.

Remaining battery capacity - from volts or display?

When the charger goes green it does so as it or the bms says its fully charged, by this it reads that some cells groups have reached max voltage (42v) so will stop, the battery may be a little unbalanced so leaving plugged in once the charger has gone green may allow balancing to continue though...

    Greenedge CS2 battery issue

There have been issues with contacts, including arcing and plastic receivers melting. Caused by battery to cradle/receiver poor contact. Low voltage could be a few things. The fact it occurred on a hill tends to suggest it could well be knackered cells/cells collapsing under load which both...

    BMS Board

Some boards have 1+ & 10+ for 10s written on the reverse side of the pinout. Other wise with the pinouts facing you start with 1 on the RHS & 10 far left, will also depend on how many wires there are some have more then 10. If 11 then the first Black goes to neg along with batt neg. If the bms...

    Commuter bike

Bikester.co.uk are worth a look, very good and prices are often very competitive with good delivery times. Recently got a genuine Alfine tensioner from them and they were £££'s cheaper then any one else.

    Presta valves

I used to have one years ago but now find a quality track pump is better then anything. Mine gets used on the car as well. By the time I've opened the bonnet and connected up, I will have the tyre done and dusted with a TP.

A random thread for things too unimportant for their own thread...

Come on guys it's not the dogs fault but irresponsible owners not clearing up afterwards. When I had my Golden Retriever's I always carried fragrant nappy sacks and at about 30 or 40p for packet of cheap ones, it makes no sense for owners not to do their bit.

Q128C seems very slow - normal or not?

P1 setting has an effect on the hub timing and can cause slow/hesitant pickup under pas use, throttle is unaffected. Try 202 - 224 the scope/range is quite wide and then use a gps to see if the lcd speeds match or are close to within 2 or 3 tenths of mph if not adjust the P1 setting up or down...

Q128C seems very slow - normal or not?

Have you disconnected the speed restriction white wires out of the controller ? I recently tried mine with the two whites connected , arrgh the ride was horrible so pedestrian. They came apart very quickly again :D. 36v Q128C with 36v comfortably goes up to 19mph and a bit more with good...

    ebike build from scratch

All new forks are supplied with an over long head steerer 300mm or so( for cutting down) to suit any head tube length. I have never had any issues with crown races a couple of decent screwdrivers to lever up from both sides and a gentle tap when refitting with wooden block. Some races are now a...
