A 3D image of the wrong thing is every bit as useless as a 2D one. .

Hopefully not the future! I work as a species identifier of a wide variety of small arthropods and some other lifeforms in the Natural History Museum forum and have seen how so many come a cropper trying to use Google photos and web pages to identify species. Too often Google and accuracy live...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Probably because it's much easier to lead a Conservative party. Conservatism is essentially what the word means, keeping things largely the same over time, some like Jacob Rees Mogg taking that to extremes in refusing to leave the 19th century. That makes leading very easy, I could lead the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

True, but also often the fault of the poorer countries. We are poorer than Germany and we lose many highly skilled people to Germany, while receiving EU grant money for our poorer regions like West Wales, the North-East etc. We lose those people because we've failed to provide them the...

The EU does the same in two ways. They take more from the richer countries. They distribute to poorer regions within countries. .

This thread is really flying now.. The first 1000 pages were posted at a rate of 2.2 per day, but we've posted 7 pages in the last 24 hours. 2000 pages here we come? .

It's not me who's smart, it's the browser, or those who created it to make my life easier. .

No false assumption, at 10.17am when I posted there was no mention of lottery etc on those two pages. I very rarely use Find, using it when logically appropriate to locate particular words. As the etc above and in my earlier post indicates, I didn't only look for lottery but tried alternatives...

That's the snag. though isn't it, whose opinion counts. Censorship is often worse than the problem it seeks to deal with. .

I didn't do that, I just used my browser's "Find" facility which instantly assured me there was no mention of lottery etc. Isn't technology wonderful. :p .

Really, not a previous mention of lottery on this page or the previous one. I can see now why you get so confused. I remarked on your winner and coming second references, comments that could be valid in any sphere. .

Not so sure, being second or lower can be the better where I'm concerned. Not being noticed, less expectations, avoiding the flak when things go wrong, less responsibility. Being top dog brings all the pressures. .

I doubt any country ever learns from history. That is why we have the EU, as a defence against the otherwise probability of WW3 and a fourth Reich. The previous great war is always the war to end all wars. .

Of course I knew and accept that, but it doesn't alter the very long term economic advantage it gave us, which was my point as the post made very clear. How would you like me to make the point? Tiptoe around it like the following to satisfy delicate sensitivities: "We failed to pay for the...

Was that not for economic advantage and did you miss the ensuing mention of a basis for economic success? It was blindingly obvious what my point was. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

As I'm quite sure you were aware, I made an economic comparison, not in any way commenting on the values involved. You've just tried to twist that to something else to avoid the comparison, rather than give any possible basis for future economic success outside of the EU. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The last time we managed that was by theft of resources from a large empire with slavery providing much of the labour. Since then it's been downhill all the way, gradually at first but rapidly increasing once we'd finally lost the empire. Joining the EU halted the decline and investment by...

    XIPI ELECTRIC BIKES

Yes, he had mentioned ill health at least three years ago. I remember his son was reconstructing the Xipi website long ago, but there didn't seem any inference that he would be interested in the e-bike business beyond that. .
