    Brexit, for once some facts.

They're politicians, they don't care about the outcome, just so long as the other lot get the blame. If JC gets too involved in Brexit policies, he could also come in for the blame for the Brexit outcome if it all goes wrong. So he wisely stands back and keeps as quiet as possible on the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I believe both Labour and Tory voters would be several percent in favour of Remain now, and with the other Remain votes would win a new referendum by a far bigger margin than Leave won the last one. We know that the MPs in the Commons are overwhelmingly Remainers, they made that very clear in...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I said the opposite: "The true Labour instinct would be to side with Remain, since Europe is predominantly socialist and the EU and ECJ very supportive of common rights." Their MPs are only pretending to be leavers since that's the way the voters went, particularly Labour voters, hence the...

I used some "Bike Hut" ones from Halfords and mounted them inboard on my Torq, since it had a twistgrip throttle. Protects everything on the bar

If I was in TM's place I'd do just that. Brexit is a poisoned chalice for any government. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Why, when what they are doing is so successful? As others have said, they are politicians, so happy to stay with what is working at present. As you say, there'll come a point when they have to get off the fence, but hope springs eternal and they hope something will turn up then. After all...

    Thanks and see you later

Yes, really daft having tail lamps that face the rear. ;) Seriously, probably a leftover from the X type's Mondeo inheritance, since they had tail lamps that usually overlapped the boot entrance, often onto the hatch door. .

I'm not and can understand what they are doing. The true Labour instinct would be to side with Remain, since Europe is predominantly socialist and the EU and ECJ very supportive of common rights. Their problem is though that a very high proportion of their traditional supporters are Brexiters...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There's an interesting program in BBC Radio 4's "Briefing Room" series. Titled "Where Does Labour Stand on Brexit?" it's well worth a listen, 27 minutes on this i-player link. .

Certainly is at the dearer end, we already have a number of specialist bike builders of course. I don't think we could match the bottom end of the mass market pricing though. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Expensive, at present many need to be built here to be competitive. (Link) Japanese makers often refuse to send models here due to the end price being too high. The result with tariffs will be us still buying German and paying a little more than at present. More expensively from experience...

I think your tyres may be Kenda, and if so, I can endorse what you say. I bought two e-bikes with Kenda tyres and used them for 18 months without any punctures, but then changed to Schwalbe Marathon Plus, which during their life suffered just one puncture. Throughout that time my ersatz...

WANTED: Panasonic Crank Drive 36V Motor for older Kalkhoff ProConnect 8

Whether its a Panasonic or Kalkhoff-BMZ battery, it should easily be up to powering a BBS01. Fitting the BBS01 to that frame might be problematic though, the Panasonic pedalshaft assembly isn't in any way like a normal bottom bracket. Much easier to convert to a hub motor setup. .

WANTED: Panasonic Crank Drive 36V Motor for older Kalkhoff ProConnect 8

As you've found these units were designed to be unrepairable, and the replacement unit prices from Panasonic are high. None has cut away the motor casing to my knowledge, It's not worth it since the weight saving would be minimal. But some have stripped out all the works other than the...
