    Yamaha PW-SE vs PW-X

47km/h top speed on two top bikes, derestricted with pedaling on a flat road? I was expecting more fireworks that that.

Are good times just around the corner? It seems they may be!

I normally don't wear a helmet but I do when I know part of my route is shared with cars. The danger is usually no so much falling off the bike but other users.

I think the subsidy would be limited to the amount of VAT paid to the government, up to a limit of about £200. It's 200 Euros in France for example. This means that a lot of people would want to buy £1,000 bikes to maximize the saving.

that why I asked if you could wait so we can look into ways to transit from 36V to 48V.

Philip Hammond wanted 4 years instead of two. My guess we'll have completed half in the two years then either try that or ask for 2 more years transitioning.

the 48V kits cost the same as the 36V kits, the battery cell pack is changed from 10S5P to 13S4P. The controller runs at 48V instead of 36V. It's early days - but I hope that the 48V kits would find their place in eMTBs.

If you can wait until around 7th November, I would have completed all the tests on the new 48V 17A BPM system. The 48V kits arrive on 31st October.

that point of view is not incompatible with what the UK is seeking. As I said, the UK will place citizens right and security cooperation above trade. We'll will probably sort out citizens rights, euratom, open skies, europol, erasmus etc and 2 year transition before October 2018. The trade deal...

You should take what TM and David Davis say as truthfully the UK position. We are looking for a deal more than Canada, less than Norway, a bit like Switzerland - a bespoke deal. The EU wants about £60 billions. It isn't exactly a ransom, most of it can be justified liabilities. The last point is...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

brexit has not happened yet, what we see is loss of confidence for the moment, the definitive market sentiment will be made when the negotiation with the EU comes to the end. Confidence comes and goes. The BoE knew that the brexit result will cause flight of assets denominated in GBP. So it...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

When the result was known, the obvious reaction is to sell anything owned by the Brits or linked to the Brits. The BoE rehearsed that scenario months before and decided to let the market know that it will pump liquidity into British banks, that means it signaled to the market to sell Pound...

pick away if you like. I like some of the things that EU created but I am not mad keen for it. I think people should be more critical before saying that brexit is wrong.

yes. The BoE planned it. That's why the London stock market did not crash. If we were in the Eurozone, the Euro could not be devalued, so the stock market would have taken 20% hit instead of the Pound. That would have triggered programmed selling with dire consequences for our economy.

No, it was in reply to your view that leaving the Euro means returning to being a backward country. If Greece or Italy or Spain leaves the Euro, they are still very much a member of the EU27. They won't become a backward country because they leave the Euro. They will still be bound by the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

that's an unlikely scenario. If Greece for example comes out of the Euro, Greece can devalue the Drachma to attract fresh FDI, increase public investment which will employ people and pay taxes. Over a medium term, the situation will improve sufficiently to return to the SGP like any good member...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the strength of the Euro is exactly what the Southern Eurozone countries cannot afford, they need a weak Euro to create more jobs. Sooner or later, one of the Southern countries will have to leave the Euro or endures ever higher unemployment rate. That may eventually lead to a smaller Eurozone...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

High unemployment is a direct result of one size does not fit all. The 1998 Stability and Growth Pact is the source of troubles. Just imagine China is subjected to the same kind of policy, she would not have been able to lift hundreds of millions of Chinese out of poverty. In the EU, the...

all the remainers on here are way too pessimistic, no wonder that the brexiters are not convinced by your vision of doom and gloom. They will just tell you 'we don't care what it will cost, we just want our country back'. To be credible, you need a dose of realism. The ballpark figure for the...

the EU is of course brilliant but it's far from perfect. Mr Varoufakis called it 'an authoritarian incompetence' which I find well justified. As long as the Euro continues to be a source of discontent in eurozone countries with high unemployment, we should be better off being outside the EU...
