    Brexit, for once some facts.

What amuses me is the Theresa May claims she's stable, while Arlene Foster states she's going to bring the stability by pairing with May. Clearly Foster thinks May is wobbly at present and needs propping up. :) .

No actual agreement, just this statement: "The Democratic Unionist leader and most recent first minister of Northern Ireland, Arlene Foster, says she wants to “bring stability to our nation” by backing Theresa May and the Conservatives to continue in power. Foster said in Belfast on Friday...

I view the DUP as repugnant throwbacks to the past, promoting repressive social policies. They even include some creationists, showing their level of intellect. .

Yes, a crack team of astute negotiators from both sides. Diane Abbott and Boris Johnson for example. .

Sort of "Why involve only one incompetent when half a dozen are available?" :D .

I didn't fail to understand at all, I was well aware of the major 2nd independence referendum issue, but still think a little more wisdom would have helped. Despite any distaste, Labour should have been the alternative choice, still strongly unionist while able to deliver a Brexit that better...

Yes, we now know that if the Scots hadn't voted in those extra dozen Tories, Theresa May would not be forming the next government. Very sad. .

Their "support" will disappear on many issues, since so much is devolved to Northern Ireland and they won't help her on those issues. They are: Issues on which the Northern Ireland Assembly has full legislative powers: health and social services education employment and skills agriculture...

Footnote to my above post. Having won our marginal seat by just 165 votes last time, Tory Gavin Barwell rather arrogantly wrote a book titled "How to Win a Marginal". Now he's lost it to Labour who have a record majority of well over 6000 votes, he needs to write a sequel: "How to...

My two highlights: In my previously always marginal constituency where Gavin Barlow won by just 165 votes last time, we've totally changed the scene. Now Sarah Jones for Labour has won by a record 6652 votes amd the Tories have lost their housing minister (not that he ever housed anyone). And...

Except that after 100 results the exit poll is shown as almost exactly right on all the main parties! The pollsters will be very happy. .

Don't worry about the parts used on your bike, they will work perfectly well and reliably once adjusted properly. It's very common for some adjustments to be needed in the initial miles. I'm sure you'll be smiling before Friday's passed. .

That would really be a humiliation. Her MPs won't forgive her if she swaps a small overall majority for a hung parliament. Here's hoping. .

But not necessarily, there might not be any Brexit. As I remarked earlier, if today's result produces a total of Labour, Lib-Dems and SNP that is greater than the Conservative total, which is very possible, they can force a referendum on the Brexit deal TM reaches. Many of them strongly desire...

England in Football World Cup Final

OK, so it's the under 20 team, but so what, why age discriminate? Well done England's footballers who have achieved this, first time an English men's team have been in the final for 51 years. The Football League's future is looking brighter. Link .

If the poll you published becomes the result, Theresa May won't be getting her own way very much. Labour with liberals will exceed her own party, and with the SNP joining in on Brexit issues, the Tories will be well beaten. I can conceive of Labour joining with the Lib-Dems and the SNP to...

In my very marginal constituency (165 votes Tory majority), the latest YouGov poll has it that Labour's Sarah Jones leads with 45%, Tory's Gavin Barwell 42%, so the outcome still touch and go. Fingers crossed. .

I've seen those comments previously, and others trying to deny any connection. Obviously Sweden doesn't apply, and nor does Curtice's rather silly comment that seeks to connect results from different constituencies. Apples and oranges. The only thing that matters is what happens in any given...
